Chapter seventeen- Strength in numbers

I toss and turn as I am asleep. This feeling of fear is trying to choke the life out of me but I am fighting it with all that I have got. I am suddenly in the woods. Dark Breeze Woods to be exact. I am staring at my Senseis grave whilst holding a bottle of wine. This place seems so hot, like someone is throwing me with boiling water for no reason. I feel a hand on my shoulder and the hot feeling fades. (Jason): I am sure that he was a great man. But drinking and draining bodies will not fill the void any time soon Cassy I dont want to speak to him right now. I feel so hurt, angry and lost. I dont fully understand how he even got here in the first place. I just finish the wine and start running through the woods as fast as I can but be catches up with me and stops me by pushing me against a tree. (Cassy): Why? Why are you here? Why did you follow me? Why are you inside my head? He puts his hands on my shoulders and looks me in the eyes. I feel the anger slowly slipping away into the wind but I want answers. (Jason): I will always be here Cassy. To bring you back (Cassy): Bring me back from what? (Jason): The person you think that you are Wow. That was a stake to the heart right there. (Cassy): What makes you think that I am not my true self? (Jason): You hide your pain behind this shell self that you have created. You act like everything is okay and you distract yourself with other things to forget about how life really burned you badly from younger days. I can see that Cassy (Cassy): You have it all wrong (Jason): If I have it all wrong, as you say, then why did you fall in love with me, and I you Did I just hear that right? Hes in love with me? No I am just drunk thats all. I see that hes about to kiss me. Hes moving forward and I feel this pull towards him but I wake up before anything happens. I am completely confused but the first thing that pops into my mind is sober up. I walk to the kitchen and grab three bottles of tequila anyway and sit at the table. The fam walks in too and they exchange looks when they see the tequila on the table. (Cassy): And now?? (Gabrielle): What is with the craziness on the table sis? (Cassy): Craziness? More like heaven-sent beverages (Junaid): I would like some of that (Cassy): Great! Head over to the store and get your own (Luke): Ouch (Ascari): Cassy, whats going on? (Cassy): Bad dream, thats all. Now I have to get all of the information that you all gathered from the party. The organisation has Jason and we need to find him before its too late (Gabrielle): What?! (Junaid): Our trainer? (Cassy): Thats right. We have to save him before Elijah takes his anger out on him and kills him (Luke): Sounds like a plan Everyone walks to their laptops and type the information that they were able to dig up that evening when we failed the darn mission. As soon as all of the information is added up. I get a chance to go through my phone and there is a missed call from yesterday with a voicemail. Its from Jason: Hey Cassy, I Uhm... I miss you too much to wait and I just needed to come to see you. I need to tell you something very important. Its just- I The car knocks into something and I hear him fight someone. I tear up as this is playing over the speaker of my phone Cassy, I – I love you The phone shatters and the message ends. This means war. I have to save him more than ever now. This is not how it ends. Luke walks over and pulls Junaid into the centre of us. (Luke): Go ahead! Tell them what you told me brother! (Junaid): Are you sure about that Luke? (Luke): Dude if you dont, I will (Gabrielle): Come on guys! What is the news? (Junaid): Well after the party, well before it ended (Luke): You are taking way too long to get to the point! He got Nigels wifes number! (Cassy): Thats amazing! Gross, but amazing! (Luke): That isnt the full news (Ascari): Spit it out Luke (Luke): Lets just say, Junaid got a VIP seat in the latest event He gets to go to the main estate where the Havens live and attend a family dinner with a few friends and is allowed to bring two guests along (Cassy): Then its settled! You and Ascari are going into the estate and are going to distract the family while Gabby and I rip the staff to bits and we save Jason (Ascari): Cassy is there something going on with you and this Jason guy you speak of? (Gabrielle): He was her trainer and Junaids too (Junaid): Its more than that (Cassy): Juju? (Junaid): Oh spare us the innocent reaction Cassy. We trained together for weeks and even Elijah was foaming at the mouth with jealousy. You and Jason were practically falling in love on the battle field (Ascari): We are not judging you sis. Above everything, we just want to see you happy and this Elijah he seems to be taking everything personal (Gabrielle): They liked each other and then we had suspicions about him and he has not been in her heart since battle training How can they be so sure of everything? What if I actually thought about Elijah during battle training? Okay, I did not but still! They cannot make their own assumptions! I guess we will have to get down to the facts in order to fill everyone in before we head into this mission. Rather be prepared to die than to expect it carelessly. (Cassy): Alright! Alright! I will tell you I have to tell them but I am so afraid that they will think I am a mess. (Cassy): I fell for Jason during battle training. He just there is something about him that I have never experienced with anyone before- (Gabrielle): Passionate Love Shes right. He makes me feel alive and that I am able to fight for the life I truly need. I cannot help it but tears start flooding down as recent events start playing in my head again. (Cassy): But now He came to see me. He came to tell me that he loves me and and Elijah is holding him captive. I will fight to the death if that means that I get to see him one last time Everyone gathers and basically huddles up around me and we bow our heads. (Gabrielle): We are going to find him sis (Luke): No matter what it takes (Junaid): We will feed on those who oppose us (Ascari): And drain the blood from our enemies (Gabrielle): Whatever it takes to find your love (Junaid): We stick together (Cassy): We are family (Ascari): Always (Luke): Always (Junaid): Always (Gabrielle): Always (Cassy): Now how about that dinner party? Everyone exchanges looks and we know whats next. Lets get the one I love back to safety.
