The next day when Bubble woke up, he felt as if he was hit by a whale moving faster than a SkyWing flying. Everything was sore, achy, and hurt. He stretched and yawned, still recovering from the terrible amount of sleep that he got. Boris was already out of the sleeping cave, and Diamondback was leaving the cave. Bubble walked out of the cave, still half asleep. He rolled his shoulder a few times while walking, trying to loosen them, to no avail. His father had a rock that could heal surface wounds and muscles, but Bubble forgot it at home.
He just decided to go on with the day, hoping that the muscles would loosen as the day went on. Bubble turned the corner to go down the hall toward the Prey Center. He walked down the hall until he entered the chaos. When he entered, there was a mass of dragons in the center of the cave, all swarming around a net filled with some fish from the lake. The MudWing, Clay, was standing on a boulder near the middle, trying to control the chaos.
"EVERYONE! THERE IS PLENTY OF FISH FOR EVERYONE! JUST CALM DOWN! THERE IS NO NEED TO... NO! STOP!" Clay yelled into the crowd. He jumped off of the boulder and limped over to the pack of dragons. Everyone looked back over at the limping MudWing and made a path big enough for two of him to walk through, wingtip to wingtip. In the center were two dragons, but before Bubble could get a better look, Clay stood in the way. Bubble walked around the edge of the Pray Center, making sure to keep a distance from the other dragonets. He craned his neck as much as he could to watch what was happening, but he still struggled to look over everyone.
In the center of the crowd, there was a blood-red SkyWing set in a fighting stance. His arms were crouched his neck set perfectly strait. Face set grim and teeth bared. Bubble could even feel the power of the glare that he was giving the other dragon.
The other was another SkyWing, but before he could get a good look everyone got in the way again. He stretched his neck to the limit trying to see who it was. It was his climate, Princess Aella.
Aella was in the same position as the SkyWing, with their teeth bared and claws flexed. The only difference was her bracelet was gleaming murderous red as if there was something special about it, and her tail seemed to be leaking blood from a gash in it.
"Calm down both of you," Clay said sternly. He took his front talons and scooted each of the dragons away from each other like they were wooden figures on a marble floor. The other SkyWing looked up at Clay and hissed, but all Clay did was give a meaningful look at him, and he stopped. Aella just sat down, shoulders squared and head held high. She opened her wings to their full size, accidentally smacking into a few dragons that were too close or too slow to move out of the way in the snout. The crowd finally started to spread out, some sneaking a few more fish out of the net, while others just walked away.
Bubble swore he could hear some grumbles from the dispersing crowd such as, "I thought they were going to fight- The SkyWing would have clawed off her face- The Princess was soooo going to stab him." Bubble honestly felt shocked by the mumbles, not knowing that some dragons enjoyed watching each other hurt one another.
Clay looked down at the two fuming dragonets and said something quietly to the SkyWing, and he growled and started to walk away. He walked by Bubble radiating hatred and rage, and he winced when the SkyWing looked over right into Bubble's eyes. Bubble looked away, trying to act like he wasn't looking at him at all, but it was all to waste.
"What are you looking at!" the SkyWing roared right into Bubble's face. He was only a few inches away from Bubble's face, causing Bubble to flinch slightly with the SkyWing's every breath. Plumes of smoke came barreling out of his flaring nostrils with every breath he took. Bubble was trembling as he sat there defenseless. Well, not entirely defenseless, but Bubble promised to himself that he would never use it. It could cause too much damage, to both him and the target.
