In the last six months, Sofia has single handedly taken down three dozen crime organization around the world in their entirety.

At first she only her eyes on Hydra, Following the trail Mason gave her in effort to find Bucky. Mason fought by her side for a time too, But as days turned to weeks and their reality began to turn grim, Even Mason begun to fear what Sofia was becoming.

He struggled with whether or not he should call Natasha, His heart torn between which sister it would pain more should Natasha see Sofia in the unhinged state she was in.

But when the trail inevitably led them to find the location believed to be Bucky's last stop, A burning which had clearly suffered an explosion and was left in a pile of rumble.

It became all too clear to Mason what had happened, Believing Bucky must have sacrificed himself in order to bring an end to Hydra.

Sofia demanded he gather as many men as he could to help them search the rubble, And in effort to bring her some sort of peace, He did.

He also contacted Natasha, Unfortunately she was mission of her own at the time unable to receive his call.

Sofia, Mason and a team of 24 people whom all owed Mason their lives, Searched every inch of the demolished building. Finding countless bodies — all of which were too charred to be identified without contacting Shield.

On the third day of searching, When a something shiny reflected from beneath a cluster of cement, Sofia with the help of Mason pried free the last thing she expected to see.

Laying in her shaking hand was a silver chain, holding the pair of dog-tags she had given Bucky for Christmas.

She fled the scene after forcefully shoving Mason away when he tried to comfort her, Taking off in the car he had driven them there in.

He had hoped she was going back to the motel they were staying in, He couldn't fathom her pain and wanted to give her a few hours of space to process what she found.

In the meantime, He tried to contact not only Natasha, But also Clint. Fearing what Bucky's death might do to Sofia, He knew no matter his opinion of Shield, It would be the her best option.

Except when he returned to the motel later on that same night, Sofia was gone.

Along with his laptop, The collection of supplies he travels with in order to create new passports, And a duffle-bag worth of his ammo and guns ranging from pistols to his favorite AK- 74 with a dozen grenades.

He's since tried to help Natasha, Clint and even Shield by exhausting all of his connections in order to find Sofia.

Unfortunately for them, She hasn't wanted to be found.

That's not to say in the last six months she hasn't hasn't had a single moment of weakness, She has.

She's dialed each of their numbers a dozen times, Only every time she's heard their voice on the other end, The phones have all wound up crushed beneath her boot within seconds.
