Twenty one days.

It's been twenty one days since Bucky and Sofia went their separate ways in Maui.

Twenty one days, Zero contact.

Twenty one days of praying,

Of crying,

Of distractions.

Twenty one days of Sofia's heart flying into her throat everytime the phone rings.

Twenty one days of her eyes becoming glued to any passing news stands, Television broadcasts, Anything that might give her a hint as to which world leaders were really only masquerading puppets for Hydra.

But day after day she saw nothing,

Read nothing.

Found nothing.

Sometimes no news is good news, Especially in the world of assassins and secret government organizations.

Still though, These been the most agonizing twenty one days of her life.

Thank god it will all be over after tonight.

Sofia wakes up on the late afternoon of October 27th, A surge of hope washing over her as she checks the clock. Pleased to have slept away most of the time she would have otherwise spent pacing the room of her cozy suite.

When she first arrived to Westview, She tried to remain positive. Venturing out to explore the adorable suburban town, Alone.

She's had several meetings with the contractor Tom whom Bucky found, And they've since ironed out all the details to make sure he'll be able to take the already laid foundation of their soon to be home, And expand it a bit. Given their love for cooking together, She thinks it'll be nice to have a larger kitchen with room for a double oven.

The daydream of someday hosting a big Christmas dinner together, With Natasha, Mason, Clint, Laura and their son, all together fueling the desire even further.

She's waiting to officially hire Tom the until Bucky returns, She wants to make sure he agrees with the archways she's added in the design of living room, And the separate shower and garden tub for their bathroom. She's almost positive he'll love it though, Seeing as she managed to find a floor plan almost identical to the house they had in Maui which he had picked.

She's held out hope every day that Bucky would return earlier than expected, Crying herself to sleep every night as disappointment attempted to drown her. Having gone on hundreds of missions herself, The little voice in the back of her mind  knew he would take any extra time he had left to be thorough.

He would never risk leading Hydra Agents back to her.

Her body aches as she rolls off of the all too soft mattress, She hasn't had a restful nights sleep since their last night in Maui, And her body has already begun taking a toll.

After scorching her body beneath the steaming hot water for her usual hour long shower, She dries off and prepares her outfit.

She went shopping the other day for something to do, She searched all the cute boutiques in town until she found something perfect to wear for today. A burnt orange cardigan sweater, On top of a black lace bralette paired with dark jeans. An outfit almost identical to the one she was wearing on this day last year when we they met.
