Power Rangers Dino Charge: A New Ranger

An Energem discovery

Riley POV

My eyes flickered open, when I realized that I was in the base. Kendall didn't noticed that I woked up til I walked up to her and said, "Hi, Kendall what happen?"

Kendall hesitated before she told me what exactly happen, "You guys were fighting a monster, I was keeping an eye on the fight and Tyler kept me in on what was happening. When he didn't responded to a question I had asked him. I knew something was up...." she was interrupted with a noise coming from behind us.

I turned around to see everyone except Tyler was awake. I told them what happened and then returned to Kendall, so she could finish telling me what happened.

"I replayed the fight to see what happen to Tyler because he was awake 5 minutes ago when I talked to him about how to get you, Shelby, Koda, and Chase out of there by himself. Then, I saw that the monster attacked him from behind using a strong attack he used against the rest of you, but I saw that when the monster hit you guys with the attack you were facing the monster. When the monster used the attack against Tyler, he was facing away from the monster, so the attack hit him hard in the back and head, so I think Tyler might be out a little longer and might need complete rest before fighting again." she finished finally.

I then saw Shelby put a nice cold washcloth on Tyler's forehead. When she did that I heard a slight groan from Tyler. I mouthed to Shelby to keep the washcloth on Tyler's forehead because it cooled him down because it was really hot, and I didn't what him to be overheated. Then, I meet up with Chase and Koda in the café.

Shelby POV

I stayed in the base with Tyler, while Riley headed back up to the museum to meet up with Chase and Koda. Tyler has now been out for 4 and a half hours, so I was getting worried if he would ever wake up. I went to the computer and checked if any aliens were on Earth. None luckily. I went back to Tyler's cot, then I took out my communicator and called Riley.

"Has he woke up yet?", were the first words out of Riley's mouth.

"No, I am starting to get worried though", I responded.

"Kendall told me that it might be a little longer for him to wake up because the monster hit him in the back and head.", he said.

"Ok, I will call you when he wakes up", I said before hanging up.

I touched the washcloth on Tyler's forehead and it was dry. So, I went to the fountain on the other side of the room to put some cool water on it. I walked back to the cot where Tyler laid still. He often groaned and moaned, so I knew he could feel me check on his temperature every so often and take the washcloth off his forehead to make it cool again. Kendall was with me in the base, but not worrying about Tyler. She was figuring out how to deflect the monster's attack, so no one else ends up like Tyler is. I whispered to Tyler, " Tyler if you can hear me please wake up, you really need to." After I said that he groaned as if he heard me. (Actually he did hear what Shelby said but she didn't know he actually heard her.)

Annabeth POV

Chase keeps telling me that Tyler is ok, but usually I see him in the cafe because I work there.

"Hey, Riley", I said when I saw him walk into the cafe.

"Hey, have you seen Chase?", Riley asked me.

"Yeah, he was just here, he said he was going to the park to skate, he will be back soon.", I said.

"Ok", Riley responded as he walked to the base.

I know that Chase, Tyler, Riley, Shelby, and Koda are rangers. I learned that they were, when I started working there, so if they ran out of work I know why. Ms. Morgan or Kendall lets me help if they need anything. Most of the time, I usually help out when the rangers are injured. After, my work shift, I went for a hike in the woods. I had Riley pack me a bag with hiking gear because I was going to explore a cave, I found a wierd energy reading in, when I was looking at the computer in the base. When, I reached the area, I hopped out of Tyler's jeep and headed down into the cave. I walked around there for about 20 minutes and then I couldn't believe what I found. I found the Aqua Energem. When, I grabbed it, I felt a stream of power running through me. I got out of there as quick as I could, but of course Fury was ther, when I got out of the cave.

"What do you have there?", Fury asked me.

"Nothing, that needs you to be here", I said in an irritated voice.

"Yes it does, I know you found an Energem, I can smell it", Fury said as I took off towards the jeep.

"See you later, Fury", I said as I started the engine.

I raced back to the museum to show Ms. Morgan and the others what I found. I slid down the passage way to the base. Kendall, Shelby, and Tyler were there when I came down. I knew Tyler was still not okay, I thought to myself. "Kendall looked at what I found in a cave earlier today", I pulled it out of my pocket to show Kendall and Shelby.

"The Aqua Energem", Kendall said as her faced beamed with delight.

"How did you find that", I heard Shelby say from behind me as she stood up fom Tyler's cot.

"Yesterday, I found some wierd energy readings in the cave I explored today, but Fury was there when I came out so I left as quick as I could", I told her while she walked to the water fountain to put some water on the washcloth.

Beep, Beep, Beep. Shelby's communicator went off while we were talking.

"Shelby, we need you now", it was Chase. "The monster is beating us bad. We need the Dino Spike."

"We can't use the Dino Spike, Tyler is still not ready", Shelby responed.

A/N Cliffhanger. Will Kendall give Annabeth a morpher to help the rangers while Tyler is out? What will Chase say when he finds out his younger sister is the aqua ranger?
