I have been in the hospital for two days. Meredith is understanding she doesn't hover which I don't get how she doesn't if our roles were switched she would be so sick of me by now. My family on the other hand wont leave me alone so I sent them to my house in hopes they don't go into my office or my room I don't Meredith and I cleaned up after our selves the last time we had sex three days ago.
"How are we doing today Mr. Shepherd?" A doctor asked walking into my room with interns behind him.
"Great doc I'll be even better when my family is out of my house and when Meredith can bring me home" I say.
"Well that's a while away from now" he says.
"You know what I do for a living right?" I ask.
"No.." he says.
"Well let's just say I get injuries al the time nothing hurts I say just let me go" I tell him.
"Derek.." I hear a voice from the door way to see Meredith.
"Tesoro you're back" I smile.
"Don't tesoro me" she says sitting next to the hospital bed.
"Dr. Lawson was just coming in for rounds" I smile at her.
"Was he now" she says raising an eyebrow.
I look at him "yes I was" Dr. Lawson says clearing his throat.
"Dr. Lawson could you do me a favor?" She asks.
"What is it Ms. Grey?" He asks.
"Could you have one of your interns stay with Derek today I have to work and if nobody is here with him he would probably call someone to bail him out like he's in jail" she says looking at me.
"Yes let me see" he says turning around to select an intern.
"I really hope you like your punshishments gattina" I tell her.
"Just love them" she mutters.
"This is Dr. Ruth Plum" Dr. Lawson says and a curvy and skinny woman with dark long hair steps infront of everyone.
She was good looking I'm not going to lie but I'm more into dirty blonds. "She volunteered" Dr. Lawson nodded.
"Mhm okay" I nodded with a smirk and looked at Meredith with a disgusted look on her face.
"I'll be back Derek love you" Meredith said kissing my forehead.
"Mhm" I hummed knowing I was making her mad.
"Say it" she says sitting on my thigh.
"Say what?" I ask innocently.
"That you love me" she pouts infront of everyone.
I couldn't ignore her. I put my hands on her waist. "I love you" I whisper leaning up to kiss her as she leans down.
I kiss her passionately but stop when we hear a throat being cleared. "Dr. Paul present" Dr. Lawson said.
Meredith smiled and hopped off of the bed leaving me in the room full of doctors.
They all left except Ruth. "You know you could just leave" I tell her.
"Girlfriend's orders Mr. Shepherd" she told me opening a text book as she sat down in the chair next to me.
"Fine" I groan.
I lay down kind of just spacing out when my door opens. "Derek?" I hear and look to see my sisters.
"This is where I can leave" Ruth says and turns to my sisters. "Come find me when you leave" she tells them and they all nod.
"What was that about?" Amelia asks sitting on the end of my bed.
"Meredith had an intern stay with me because she doesn't trust me to stay here alone and not escape" I tell them.
"She's smart" Lizzie says sitting on the chair.
"Sure is" I roll my eyes.
"What do you see in her?" Nancy asks leaning against the wall.
"What do you mean?" I ask sitting up.
"I mean what do you see in her what's so special about her she seems like a stupid blonde bimbo" Nancy shrugs.
"Well for one she isn't stupid or a bimbo, bimbos are the women Mark sleep with, and I see so much in her just give her a chance Nance" I say.
"Well I'm just saying and she is probably looking for money like all the other women you have been with in the past" she says.
"She isn't like that she hates when I pay for things or buy her presents" I groan.
"Derek I'm just saying" she says.
"Well stop! Stop just saying Nancy I'm sick of it give Meredith one fucking chance!" I shout.
"No promises" she says and walks out of the room.
"Nancy is a bitch Der don't listen to her" Kathleen says rubbing my shoulder.
"Why can't she just leave Meredith alone" I say running my fingers through my hair.
"Like Kath said she's a bitch" Lizzie breathed rubbing her small baby bump she is three months pregnant and is really happy her first child was a suprise but they told her she couldn't get pregnant again after but here she is.
"Yeah" I say relaxing more.
"I'm back" I hear someone say with a small knock.
I look at the door to see Meredith. "Meredith" I smile.
"Hi" she giggles walking over to give me a quick kiss.
"I got you some food because hospital food is gross" she says.
"Thank you" I smile.
"No problem" she says laying all the food she got.
"Uhm Lizzie I heard that you get really hungry but can only keep soup and crackers down at the moment so I got you some if you want it anyway because I meaning you don't want it I can always just..." she rambled bit Lizzie stopped her.
"Thank you Meredith I'll take some baby is pretty hungry right now" she said softly.
"Okay" Meredith breathed handing the food to her.
We ate and talked until my sisters left and Meredith stayed with me.
