"shit, shit, shit, shit," seokmin repeated over and over rather breathlessly as his feet collided with the ground harshly with every step he took, running becoming difficult due to the clunkiness of his footwear. he was near sweating as his many layers of clothing ( plus the extra two of bandages ) sauntered around, sometimes getting in the way of his arm movements, only causing the male more irritation.
it proved to be quite the challenge to catch up to jisoo, the main reason being the mass of his hair practically blinding him as each strand bounced to-and-fro across his forehead, sometimes becoming intertwined with his eyelashes and poking him in the eyes; it was at times like this when he wished he had had a haircut.
only to add to the already tricky situation seokmin found himself in, shouting and the rally of vehicles' engines grew closer, however these yells didn't sound all too friendly. he presumed they belonged to either the party host's security, or the paragon's- both equally terrible and showing no signs of positivity for seokmin.
after his long look behind him, he looked forwards once again to see jisoo no longer there. he fell into a small panic, his breathing becoming disoriented due to both the intense cardio and now a disappearing jisoo.
after a certain amount more of long strides, a hand wrapped around his wrist from an alleyway to his right, pulling him into the darkness which only acquired a single streetlight.
he made an attempt to move elsewhere, but he felt the person's chest press up against his back, the other hand covering his mouth as they both hid in the pitch section of the alleyway as a few stray paragon's ran past, not suspecting the small side-street as a hideout.
once the commotions of people with guns and vehicles had passed, seokmin felt the hands holding him loosen. he took a few steps into the light before turning to see the person who turned out to be nobody other than hong jisoo.
"what are you doing here? you should be somewhere else pursuing your singing career," jisoo looked at the younger, pure shock evident on his face, now able to speak loudly and thoroughly as there weren't any camera's or people nearby.
the younger huffed, leaning his back against the wall as he stared at the older, "i was, but i ended up getting kidnapped by some random dudes and wounded up here," he held his arms out, stating that here was not where he was now specifically, but referring to himself as in, 'this is me now'.
"you speak as if getting kidnapped is normal," jisoo's eyes smiled as he took a few steps closer, taking a proper look at seokmin as the younger stood in the ray of the streetlight. his skin glowed, and his perfectly defined jawline lifted slightly as he flashed a beautiful grin, completely mesmerizing the older as he shamelessly stared in awe at the younger. but he couldn't help the feeling of sadness growing in the pit of his stomach.
upon planning out this whole mission, seungcheol had mentioned the names of the vendetta's, and it definitely caught his attention when the name lee seokmin was mentioned; however jisoo deemed it impossible that the person the others were talking about was the seokmin he knew.
his seokmin.
they spoke of seokmin as if he were the worst human to ever exist, but he knew the younger was far from that. to him, seokmin was the best, he was passionate, whimsical and kind-hearted.
"what about you? did your dad manage to pull you in?" seokmin was now making his way over to jisoo- who had snapped out of his thoughts and gazed towards the younger- making his move in an attempt to take the jewel by snaking his arms around the older's waist, pushing him into the brick wall behind him, the older chuckled at his eagerness and how he did all of this without any sign of hesitation.
