006 : plan of attack

"it's fucking fake," mr. hong felt like throwing the jewel back into jisoo's face, anger suppressing his every action as he paced back and forth in his office. he had made his son join because he thought that maybe things would take a turn for the better upon his arrival; the vendetta's had always been one step ahead of his own gang, and he thought that recruiting more people would fix that problem, especially with this new person being his own son. however no, even his son had failed to do a simple task he had asked of them.

"huh? what do you mean," jisoo frowned, his eyebrows too creasing as he tried to get a better look, this however deemed impossible as his father wouldn't stop moving his hands around, "it should be real."

"are you implying i am mistaken?" the older man growled in return, the fake diamond dropping from his hand and smashing upon making contact with the ground, "was that enough proof for you?" his voice deepened into a hiss as he pointed to the shards of left over jewel on the ground.

as the jewel shattered into multiple pieces, so did jisoo's mind, into a collapsed pile of confusion, seokmin wouldn't give me a fake.. right? was all he could think as his father slowly began to approach him, him of course not realising as he was busy in thought.

"well what are you waiting for?" mr. hong suddenly spoke up in a higher and more irritated tone, "go, gather the others and get my diamond back!"

"i call dibs on seokmin," jihoon was fast to talk, the butterfly knife in his hand spinning continuously between each of his fingers, the speed quickening as just the thought of the smiley man pissed him off.

"jihoon, you know that if you go for him, you have to deal with chan as well," seungcheol spoke without even sparing the younger a glance as he scribbled out a diagram of the rival gang's territory on a whiteboard that seemingly had been stolen from a toddler's school, worn out marks of crayons and stickers decorating the white space as he doodled over the smudges with his black marker.

wonwoo rolled his eyes, seemingly annoyed, "those fuckers are always glued together."

mingyu then nodded, agreeing with the male who sat besides him, "what makes it worse is they're probably the most dangerous out of all of them," a small pout gathering across his lips as his fists tightened.

jisoo's head tilted to the side, he sent mingyu a confused look, as though he were denying he had just heard the words and felt the need to hear them again, "the most dangerous?"

"fuck yeah, those two together instantly means death to whoever dares cross them, i swear they have a few screws lose," his shoulders shuddered just thinking about the two, his hands crossing over his chest and raising to his forearms to over-exaggerate the shiver.

seungcheol pursed his lips, sitting on the stool besides the whiteboard, "mhm, they're unpredictable, one minute they'd be acting all innocent, then the next they'd have people begging on their knees for them to spare them, creepy motherfuckers," he then continued to draw stick figures, labeling them with the names of the six main members of the gang and a few extras.

jisoo shook his head, seokmin isn't like that, "are you sure it's seokmin you're talking about?" he questioned, causing his gang-mates to look at him puzzled. jeonghan immediately noticed the sad tone in jisoo's voice and reached under the table to hold his hand, squeezing it tightly, he sent him a smile whilst shaking his head, basically telling him not to question it.

"dude, of course we know who we're talking about," soonyoung found the perfect opportunity to speak up, "they're like ying and yang," he spoke rather loudly, but soon began to realise what he had said didn't really match the two, "except none of them represent the light?" he questioned what he was saying as his voice grew quieter and less confident. jihoon punched his arm slightly as if telling him now was the time to shut up all whilst rolling his eyes, sending a small and very well hidden smile to the older.
