seungkwan took small steps with his hands buried in the pockets of seokmin's coat; he couldn't remember the last time he found himself in such an expensive item of clothing, but then he remembered he never really had the chance to purchase such an item.

he was evidently trailing behind the older male, watching as seokmin forced himself through the limps that threatened to become obvious. the male was still weak, he still needed rest, he was still healing; that's what seungkwan had thought. however, now that he took a deeper think about it, seokmin wasn't healing, staying in that small room with his mind being the only thing keeping him company for the past week, was only harming him further.

he had been given crutches, he had also been advised to use them, or else he would only make things harder for himself; yet, it lay obvious as to what seokmin had chosen to do.

seungkwan would see him bawl his fists ever so often, lightly hit himself on the side of the thigh and murmur curses to himself. all the short hisses of pain, the deep limps and stumbles, yet he never failed to turn and offer seungkwan a wide smile, ushering him on, complaining that they won't have enough time to try all the games at the arcade.

the youngest of the two found himself distraught, was this really a good idea? seokmin was hurting, but seungkwan was in great health; he knew that to visit the arcade, they both had to be in good shape- perhaps this wasn't the right time.

so he stopped. he didn't want to let his friend down, but he also didn't want any more harm to find its way to him. it were as though seokmin had an extra sense, he too slowed his steps and turned to look at seungkwan, his head tilting to the side slightly, his hair bouncing as he stood looking like a lost puppy.

"are you okay?" was the first thing he said, only making seungkwan feel more guilty, he was always so selfless when it came to the people he cared about.

"i don't.." he trailed off before barely starting, his gaze falling to two men stood just across the street, who were too, watching himself and seokmin. seungkwan failed to come to an understanding of who they were, however, just their presence lead him to an uneasy feeling, so he pushed on, following through with their original plan of visiting the arcade.

seokmin's finger hovered over the machine gun's trigger, his eyes scanning the area before him as he waited in his best attempt at being patient. seokmin wasn't used to this, the gun felt so light, to his surprise, this simple something lifted a weight off of his chest.

"kwan, there, to the left," he spoke in an immediate playful tone as he gritted his teeth whilst continuously pushing the gun's trigger in every direction possible; his eyes toned to a glimmer as he flinched and tiptoed as the auto tuned gunfire rattled throughout his ears.

seungkwan chewed on his lower lip intensely as his eyes glued to the screen before him, his whole body quickly turning to face the left of where seokmin had pointed out, him then too pulling the trigger of the plastic weapon in his hand. a yellow marker on the screen slowly scanned over each of the zombies growing closer, every one of them dropping dead as bullets flew towards them.

"if we keep this up we'll reach a new high score!" seokmin squealed in excitement as he became fully distracted by the four digits which only continued to raise higher and higher as seconds passed. seungkwan became curious as to what their current score was and he too looked up towards the right of the screen, his hands relaxing around the arcade gun as he lost all focus.

seokmin then heard an abnormally large growl coming from the large screen before them and let out a mewled cry, "i died, kwan get them, get them!" he whined whilst plugging his gun back into the hole in the machine, then gripped onto seungkwan's arm, rocking him back and forth.

"i can't get them if you pull on me like-"

"i died."

seokmin slowly lowered himself to the ground, his face scrunching into a jumble of emotions as he fake sobbed into the palms of his hands, rather loudly. children half their age stood and judged rather hardly as seungkwan tried to hide his face in embarrassment.

"we have to play again," he wailed whilst tugging on the waistband of seungkwan's jeans to hold himself from tumbling backwards, "we can't fall second to unworthy little children," he complained, earning disgruntled looks from one or two parents. seokmin however didn't seem to care, perhaps it was because of the long strands of curly hair covering his eyes.

"alright, alright, back on your feet, you're embarrassing me," the younger hastily pulled the male so he stood straight, delicately raising his hand to pull the loose hair out of the male's eyesight, "and yourself," he then dug through his pocket and succeeded in finding some loose change, and proceeded to hand it over to seokmin so he could start up another round.

whilst the older male slotted the coins into the pay area, seungkwan took a look around the building to look for a game they could play next, but soon froze upon noticing they were once again, being watched by the same two men he had seen on their travels to the arcade. one of them slowly rose a walkie talkie to his mouth and spoke quick words whilst the other reached for his belt, revealing a metallic tool which seungkwan could only deem as handcuffs.

"we need to leave," seungkwan spoke in a whisper as he indicated seokmin to move away from the game machine. the latter raised his eyebrows as if to ask what seungkwan's sudden motive was as he continued to fiddle with the wired submachine guns, his lips slightly pouted as he remained in deep concentration.

"the police are here we need to move, i think they've recognised us," seungkwan's tone now held an ounce of panic as he took the gun from seokmin's hands and quickly lay it upon the game stand.

he looked towards the officers, then to seokmin, then down to seokmin's legs, then back up to his face, then back two the police who were slowly edging their way towards them, "i'll give you a leg massage when we get back, but right now, i'm going to need you to run as fast as you can," the younger took the lead this time, wrapping his hand around seokmin's wrist and running towards the only door he could currently see, being the emergency exit towards the back of the building.

he thought that running into the door would do the trick, that hopefully at least one portion of his body would push the specific part on the door to allow it to open, however, of course, that didn't happen. instead, a defeated sound escaped his lips as he could only laugh at himself whilst holding onto his shoulder with his body hunching over.

seokmin's mouth hung wide open as he clapped his hands together, unable to keep his balance as he laughed heartily, however, this time he heaved so hard, no sound left his mouth.

and there they stood just before the exit, completely forgetting how they had gotten there in the first place. staring into one another's eyes, their smiles being plenty to share how they were feeling at that moment.

it was up until they heard shouts following even closer behind that they remembered how they had wounded up there in the first place. seokmin raised his hand, almost cautiously before ruffling seungkwan's hair, his eyes residing to crescents as he pushed the door open with ease, this time being the one to run in front, going as far as his legs could take him.
