Ray in the Sky

#14 Introductions

I walk in circles as I anxiously wait in my office for Ray to show up.

I knew he was pushing me away.

Throughout the meeting today, he did not even do as much as look at me, let alone try to talk to me.

There is a small knock on my door and Ray enters, making me forget how to breathe for a second.

Sometimes I forget how breathtaking he looks.

He wore an all black outfit today— a black shirt that was tucked into his black trousers, secured by a black leather belt and black boots to complete his look.

His wolfcut was neatly brushed back with his bangs framing his beautiful face.

To be honest, he looked a little intimidating too...

"You asked me to come to your office at six Sir, I-I m-mean, Sky"

Wait, that was all he wanted to say?

Did he not miss me?

What was with all the straightforwardness?

"Uhm, yes" I say, walking back to my desk and sitting down.

"I wanted to talk to you about—" ABOUT WHAT!?

My eyes quickly scanned the room to find a topic and landed on the card given to me by Mayhem "—about the charity event Mayhem is throwing this weekend"

"You got the card today, but you asked me to come over last night..." Ray says, eyeing me suspiciously and I gulp.

He was way too observant to be fooled.

"I ASKED U COME AT 6 BECAUSE EVERYONE LEAVES AT 6 AND I MISSED YOUUUUU" I wanted to yell but shut my fucking mouth.

"I was expecting it" I reply, crossing my hands.

"Really? Whoa..." he exclaims in awe and for a second I feel guilty for lying.

"So I want you to come with me. Austin has already attended a lot of events, but I want you to have experience about such events too"

"Alright" Ray whispers, and looks at the wall clock.

"Well, then, since we are done here, I'll drop you off to your house" I blurt out, standing up and grabbing my keys.

Was I being too desperate?

Well fuck it.

"WHAT?" Ray exclaims, before lowering his voice "It's alright I'll go by myself Sky. I need to go somewhere too so um, it's okay?"

"I didn't ask, I was telling you, now come with me" I say and walk out of the room.

"Sky wait up!" Ray calls out to me as I walk out of highland and I look back just in time to see him being tackled by four people.

Were they kidnapping him?

I run to him but just stand there confused when everyone starts laughing.

"Ouch you just poked my ribs with your elbow Raisin!" a male voice complained, helping Ray stand back up while three girls just clutched their stomachs laughing.

"YOU SQUEALED LIKE A GIRL RAY" a short haired girl announced before bursting into another round of laughter.

"NO I DID NOT! And I hope you are talking about the pitch Lara because if you aren't then it's really SEXIST" Ray grumbles, adjusting his shirt before joining in the laughter.

Who were these people?

"Um, Ray who is he?" a girl with long wavy black hair asked him looking at me.
