Chapter 4:

"So are you ready to go now?" Cassi said, grumpily.

I had been "getting ready" for the past hour.  My mom hates when I take forever to get ready. It's like she was never young, although sometimes I thought that might be true. Getting ready takes time as if she didn't know already. It felt like sometimes I was the responsable one in my family.

"Just about," I replied in a hurry, slipping my shoes on in my tiny feet.

I had talked my mom into going to the spa, that was just down the road from our house, before going to school. I was still slightly worried about meeting everyone, although I got along well with people I was about to put my luck to the test.

So today on my mobile calendar I had written down;

1.  Meet the school principle.

2. Wander the school during class time.

3. SHOPPING for school:(

4. Spa time- Mani, Petti, Facial w/ Alison? (couldn't remember her name)

Sounded like a riot, right?

"COME ON ABELLA!" My mom practically screamed up the stairs.

So much for delaying I thought sadly

"Fine, coming!" I said moodily.

We got in the car with our driver and headed for Gringington Jr. High.  Sounded welcoming huh? I was just about bouncing in my seat I was nervous, scared, and worried, but I wasn't about to let anyone see it. I took calming breaths and closed my eyes, thinking of a better place.

Sunlight poured through my eyes as I imagined how everything was going to be. I would be popular and a role model for everyone. I wouldn't get mad or frustrated. I was determined to go through Junior High just like everyone else. Even though as I thought about that I quickly changed it to just the pretty platnium blondes with designer clothes. Thats who I would be friends with, that was the best way to get exactly what I wanted. To fit in. There was only one thing I couldn't stand. People who gossiped about everyone else and talked about people behind their backs. If I had to be friends with anyone, I would definitely find someone who found it just as annoying and rude as I did.

"Bells we're here," Cassi said, making me jump out of my imagination and back to reality.

"Great," I said sarcastically. And as I headed to my new life I saw someone who would change my life forever.
