Chapter 5:

"Bell, are you okay?" My mother asked in a hurry. "Hmmm? Oh what?" I asked still gawking. "What are you looking at," she asked in a smug tone when she glanced over and saw 'him'. "Oh I see now," she continued, even though I was totally zoned out.

"Let's go meet him!" she said excitedly jumping out of the car. "MOM!" I yelled so loudly 'he' looked over at me. He stopped dead in his tracks and stared blankly at me. He had shaggy dirty blonde hair and sea green eyes. His face was shaped perfectly and his lips were full to perfection. He smiled a smile that could only be fake because his teeth were so white.

My mom, oblivious to this, stopped and looked back at me. Motioning me to come closer, I had to take a few deep breathes before I tore my eyes away from his face and walked slowly toward my mom and closer to 'him'. He stood still, with the welcoming smile still plastered to his beautiful face.

My mom had reached him and slowly took him in for the first time. He looked up at her and held his hand out. "Hi, I'm Jackson!" He said excitedly. "Oh hi, I'm Cassi. This is my daughter, Abella." I shly stepped forward and while looking at the ground shook his hand. I could feel his gaze on me and I slowly looked up. His eyes were just as piercing as before, if not better from closer.

"What are you doing out here? School has already started?" Cassi asked spectically. "Oh um, I slept in, but my mom made me come anyways," he answered still gazing at me, "Are you a new student here?" He asked, clearly directing the question at me. "Yea.... I start tomorrow," I answered my eyes also glued to his still. "Oh cool! Do you want me to show you to the office?" He shook his head to the building, breaking the eye contact. I quickly glanced down again.

"Sure that'd be great!" My mom said looking suspiously between the two of us. When Jackson caught her eye, he started walking sloppily toward the school. I followed in his footsteps with my mom behind us and we made our way inside.
