❝ BUT WE COULDN'T GO VERY FAR, 'CAUSE YOU LOCKED YOUR KEYS IN YOUR CAR ! ❞
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ♡︎♡︎♡︎
EVER SINCE THAT day, you were always seen waiting for me at the gates of my school after class, either to wordlessly escort me to cram school or drag me to a convenience store. My classmates have been pestering me about my relationship with you, but how am I going to answer them when we don't even have an established friendship to begin with?
It was already the second week that you've been doing this and not once have you asked me to be your friend nor confirm it, but then again— I wouldn't know how to ask you either.
The only time you'd ever talk to me was whenever you'd ask me if I wanted this or that or if I had cram school or not and to be very honest, it was greatly frustrating me on how we barely talk to each other.
But I couldn't fully blame you for that, I couldn't bring myself to even start a conversation with you. I was a coward.
Yet if I had the balls to talk to you as much I as I want, would you be happy? Would you reply to every question I ask? Would you nod along to the words I say?
I'm sure you wouldn't, not even if I begged you to.
"Let's go to my school." You declared, not even giving me enough time to process anything as you dragged me along with you. Nearly everyone in the street had their eyes on us yet you remained unfazed and carried on with such determination in your steps.
Was it really determination? I have no exact idea. I never knew what really was going on in your head nor your thought process, but after some time, I could predict it without having a clear answer why your mind is like that.
As we passed the gates of your school, there were also several other students from different schools wandering around with their own group of friends.
Your school held a little event, from what I could remember, and it just so happened that you were part of the events manager at that time.
The moment you passed a bunch of students, they all quickly took a step back, as if to distance themselves from you. And yet here I am, not even an inch away from you, letting myself be dragged around like a useless ragdoll.
And that indeed I was— to you, at least.
Before I could even register most of the designs and bright ornaments hanging around, you led me to a booth that sold different types of mask from different cultures.
