LIKING SOMEONE CAN be a very dangerous thing, especially if you're slowly starting to give your everything to them, devout your time to them, and eventually make them your whole world.
And that was the grave mistake I've made.
It was the third month we've known each other— or I've known you. Do you even know me? Or do I even know you? I wasn't even sure if you have knowledge of what I like, dislike, my favourites, my least favourites, etc.
But to be honest, I can say the same about you. All I know is that your favourite flavour of most things was wasabi, you mostly eat chocolates with almonds and other nuts, you hate being in direct sunlight yet love to drench yourself in the rain, you pet random animals in the streets, whether they're a cat or a dog or anything else.
Well, maybe I do know a lot of things about you, but I can't help but think that it's all just a front, to make it seem that I know you.
Why is it so hard to know you?
As always, you were standing outside of my school, waiting for me to finish my classes. Just your presence was enough to reassure me that you weren't bored of me yet, despite not knowing what goes on in your mind.
Most of my classmates have decided to distance themselves from me ever since you stuck with me, I didn't mind it since none of them really did anything harmful to either of us, although it did make me a bit lonely while in class.
The season has changed and it wasn't gloomy anymore, but the weather still wasn't at its hottest so you haven't changed your usual outfit whenever I see you. Just your uniform and your jacket.
As I made my way to you, I noticed that you were holding two milk teas, one of them being my favourite flavour of it. As soon as I was in front of you, you held the drink towards me with your same blank face— I was still yet to see any other expressions on your face.
"Is this for me?" I asked, eyeing the drink with bright eyes. It's been a long time since I've drank milk tea since I didn't have much time in my life to actually set aside and enjoy things like that— unless I was with you.
You didn't say anything but nod once at me, already taking a sip from your own drink. Without any more words, I took it from you and stuck my straw in, taking a good long sip and savouring the taste.
