Chapter 21

~EX POV~

"This place is so confusing!" The blue slime whined for about the 5th time in last 3 minutes. Why did I even offer to help these people- right. Watchers.

"Do you even know where we're going?" They questioned, I believe they were asking me as the brunette didn't seem to answer.

"Yes. The Listener instructed us on where to go. You'd know that if you were actually listening." I snapped at him, I was quickly getting tired of his idiocy.

"Oh." He sighed, but now he fell silent after his remark.

But of course the sweet peace can't last very long can it? Something always has to come and ruin it.

Suddenly I felt myself collide with a very fast moving object that forced me down to the ground. It took me a few seconds to realise it was actually a person.

"Hels?! Why are down here!" I growled while trying to push the other off me.

"EX? Why are you here. And with... hermits?" Hels questioned as he looked over towards the two, who were now just awkwardly standing to the side.

"They were killed by Watchers. I'm helping them back to the overworld. Now what are you doing here?" I snapped at the other, he seemed to be processing it for a few moments before finally responding.

"Wait- What!? Watchers! Since when were Watchers here?!" Hels yelled as he climbed off of me and quickly sprung to his feet.

"They've been on the server since we got here... it's just that they've only shown their presence recently." xB explained, at least one of them knows what's going on.

"Is Wels ok?" At first Hels sounded urgent but he quickly realised his tone and instinctively changed it to a monotone one.

"I'm... I'm unsure. He was probably hit pretty hard with our deaths and with your location still unknown... he's probably not doing the best...." xB responded hesitantly, he didn't exactly know himself and that was evident. But he responded with what he did know.

"Oh...." Hels sighed as he turned to look down the long hallway he had come from.

"Well let's go kill some Watchers then." He stated as he began walking back the way he had sprinted over from.

"Ok?" xB hesitantly mumbled, as he looked down to me. But Jevin simply shrugged and trailed along behind Hels.

"Might as well." I sighed as I clambered up off the ground and began to follow the other two.

This is gonna be a long walk.

~False POV~

"Ok. Everyone needs to calm down." I stated while attempting to calm down the now fully panicked Mumbo and Gem.

"Why should we calm down?! The person who was meant to be our 'saviour' is now passed out on the floor and is as pale as snow!" Doc snapped while standing in front of Ren, who looked like he was just contemplating the meaning of life.

"Because where the hell is panicking going to get us!" I snapped, I was completely done with all of this. We are down 9 people and we are loosing more every day.

The entire room fell silent almost immediately. Everyone's eyes turned to me within the now dormant chaos.

"There is no point in panicking. It will just leave us divided and unprepared." I sighed as I turned away from them all and back towards the stairs.

"So either we all get our shit together. Or we die here." I growled as I began walking away back towards the stairs. I didn't care for the dozens of eyes baring into my back, I didn't care for all the questioning stares. If it all falls apart now. It's not my problem.

~Wels POV~

"Oh what a naive boy you are." Its voice laughed as it let go of my hand, causing my body to fall limp and begin to fall into what felt like an eternal void.

Everything was black. I thought I was screaming- no. I knew I was screaming. But yet nothing came out. I didn't make a single sound. I was trapped in an eternal void.

Was it worth it? Maybe.... Maybe.

I'm sorry Jevin... I'm sorry... Hels.
