Hermione's POV

It was a couple of days after Christmas and me and Ginny were just climbing in to bed. I noticed something lying in the corner and I realised it was the present from Draco for Willow, Ginny caught my eye, noticed where I was looking and said, "I wondered when you would remember that. I was thinking about opening it myself, but then I thought I would wait and just ask you then," she shrugged, "So now's the time to explain what in the world is going on,"

My mind was having battles. Should I tell Ginny? On one hand I should, she's one of my best friends and we've discussed things for years, I helped her get Harry as her boyfriend and we trust each other greatly. But on the other hand she's Ron's sister and she could go and tell him, something I couldn't cope with.

I decided to lie, "I don't know what it is, I'll have a look now shall I?"

"I think that would be a good idea," Ginny replied, so I swiftly got out of bed and grabbed the envelope, opened it and pretended to scan the first few lines:

"Definitely not for Willow, must have gotten lost in the post," I folded the letter up and stuffed it back in the envelope.

"How could it have got lost in the post, owls are very reliable Hermione," Ginny frowned, she knew I was up to something.

"Well, it could be a muggle, I didn't know the name that I saw,"

"If it was a muggle that would make it a muggle postman, the postmen around here don't even know that our house exists... How would it turn up here?... Unless it was meant to be sent here all along?"

Oh crap, she has me. And Ginny can be scary sometimes. Very scary.

"Ginny if I tell you what this is about you aren't allowed to tell anyone, not Ron, not anyone okay?"

"I promise," Ginny sat up in bed quite eagerly, but suspicious at the same time.

I decided to cut to the chase, "I don't know whether the baby is Ron's,"

I looked up expecting Ginny to start spluttering with exasperation or have a nervous breakdown or something of the kind, but she didn't, she actually started laughing. And she couldn't stop. When she finally managed to compose herself and she realised I wasn't laughing and I continued to look puzzled at her odd behaviour, she said, "You're being deadly serious aren't you?"

And that's when the tears sprang to my eyes, "Yes,"

"Well who else's could it be?" Ginny said, now sounding exasperated and disbelieving.

"Well... When I dated Draco... Well... You can imagine..." I didn't know what to say.

"You didn't?!"

I nodded and Ginny continued, "Hermione I can't believe you, in some ways I feel quite proud, come on, you've never broken the rules in your whole life... But at the same time, you'll be hurting my brother if it isn't his,"

"Well he doesn't know anything about my relationship with Draco,"

"Yet Draco knows about it,"

"Well obviously Ginny!" and we both started laughing.

"In all seriousness you should tell Ron,"

"When and how am I supposed to do that?" I slumped down on to the pillows of my bed, my hands over my face. I knew it was the right thing to do, Ginny didn't have to tell me that, the question I had just related was constantly in my head.

"Face to face is definitely the best, but I don't know what words you're going to use," Ginny gazed on sympathetically.

"By the way, if you need to talk to someone about it, Harry knows,"
