Ron's POV

I walked in to the ante-chamber of the Great Hall and saw the looming figures of Viktor Krum, Gabrielle Delacour and Draco Malfoy... Maybe this wasn't the best idea after all. I've been put up against my brother's fiancee's sister, an international Quidditch star and my girlfriend's ex-boyfriend and also my own enemy.

Well done Ronald, well done.

They all turned to look at me. Draco smirked, his face turning in to a grin as he said, "You hoping to get killed in this Weaselbee so you don't have to look after your kid?"

I sighed. This was going to be a longer year than I thought.

Then I heard the footsteps behind me of Karkaroff, Madame Maxine and Dumbledore. Karkaroff went straight over and patted Krum on the back and whispered in his ear, Maxine hugged Gabrielle and Dumbledore stood between myself and Draco whilst Ludo Bagman and Barty Crouch came to tell us the rest of the information:

"Congratulations Champions! Your first task will take place at 11 'o'clock on the morning of Saturday 16th November. Be careful to have your wits about you! Good Luck and may the games begin!"

And with that we left the room. I went as quickly as I could but Draco still managed to catch me, "So, why did you enter Weasel?"

I ignored him, I couldn't be dealing with this right now. I had to get back to Hermione and explain.

"Oh, you want to play like this do you. Fine, I won't be giving you any help if you need it, see you at the first trial!"

And with that he and his sleeked blonde hair went down the stairs to the dungeons and I continued the long walk up the stairs to the Gryffindor Common Room.

When I arrived the door opened very slowly. I stepped inside. The Common Room was dark and deserted... Odd for this time of night...

"Yes!!!!"

People screamed and exploded from all sorts of hiding places around the Common Room. Everyone just wanted to touch me, some asked for my autograph, people shaking my hand and people just wanting to look at me. Obviously Colin had his camera out, it was fabulous! I've never felt like this before. The Butterbeer was opened and One Direction did a mini concert, singing some songs they hoped would be on their new album called 'Little Things' and 'Over Again'.

It was after the concert when I saw Hermione sitting in a corner by herself, one hand holding a Pumpkin Juice and the other tickling her bump. She was so close now, I couldn't wait. I know I shouldn't be excited, I should be ashamed, but I couldn't help it, I really wanted to be a father. I really want to look in to my beautiful child's eyes and know, that's my child, that's the child that I'm going to be able to give so much to if I win this tournament.

"Ron, I've sent a letter to mum and dad for you,"

"Thanks Ginny," I hadn't even taken my eyes off Hermione. Some people were trying to engage me in conversation but I wasn't going to do this anymore, I had to talk to her.

I walked towards her. At first people didn't realise where I was going so followed but then others did and started dragging them away to give us privacy.

"Hi,"

"Is that all you have to say for yourself?" she said, without looking up.

I sighed, "I guess not," I pulled her off the armchair and then sat down in it and then pulled her close to me. She buried her face in my chest and started to cry.

"Hey, hey, what's this for?" I cradled her, rubbing her back and leaning my head against her's.

"Because you could get really hurt," she responded, still shaking.
