Author's Note: At some points during this book, Harry from One Direction may be referred to as 'Styles' because you might get him and 'Potter' mixed up and I don't want that at all because they are two very different characters.
Hermione's POV:
We entered in to the hall together as Ron said beginning the journey together that we had no choice in participating in.
"Where have you two been? You've been missing all afternoon!" Harry exclaimed when he saw us. We sat down, Ron shook his head indicating we couldn't talk right now, "Do you understand how difficult it is coming up with decent excuses as to where you are, when I don't even have a clue my self?"
"Ah Harry, you and Ginny are too young to understand what it's like to be in love," said Louis, wiggling his eyebrows.
The rest of the table laughed, except me and Ron. Ron was staring down at his empty plate, his cheeks and ears turning red.
"So where have you been doing the dirty work then?" asked Styles.
I couldn't take any of their comments anymore. Harry thought his life was hard, what would he do in my situation?! And those One Direction boys were really annoying me!
"Had it ever occurred to any of you that Ron and Hermione might have been doing something that had nothing to do with their relationship?" Ginny said, sitting at the table next to Harry, giving him a quick peck on the cheek.
"Oh, did I say dirty work?" asked Styles innocently, "I meant homework,"
The rest of the group laughed, and Louis and Harry high-fived. That was it. I grabbed my plate and piled some food on to it as quickly as possible, grabbing my bag as well. I picked up the plate and headed out of the Great Hall, "Must be hormonal," Ron muttered to Harry as the rest of them "Oooooo" ed at my reaction.
I walked back outside in to the courtyard not bothering to look back to see whether anyone was following me, I wanted some piece and quiet anyway, everyone was doing my head in and nobody understood anything. It had started to rain, typical.
I sat down and stared at my food wondering whether I even wanted it, I wasn't really in the mood for eating.
I heard footsteps coming towards me and braced myself for the worst, more comments and taunting but I was shocked when I heard a familiar voice saying, "You forgot these," and a hand holding cutlery outstretched toward me.
I looked up at Neville and smiled as I took the knife and fork out of his hand. In his other hand was a piece of cake, dessert, and a spoon, "Thank you Neville," I felt compelled to eat something now, so I started eating the piece of pie I had picked up.
"It's alright, I realised they were giving you a bit of a rough time back there," he replied, sitting next to me and smiling sheepishly.
We sat in a comfortable silence whilst I ate some of the pie, I couldn't eat it all, I didn't know what was in it but it was horrible. Neville offered me the slice of cake but I declined feeling a bit sick, so he ate it himself.
As he ate, he said, "I know they might be giving you a hard time Hermione, I just want to let you know I'll be there for you, and if you need anything, you can tell me, okay?" he said it in a rush, as if nervous.
I smiled back, noticing he had crumbs around his mouth, "Thanks Neville, within the next few weeks I might be taking you up on that offer,"
He chuckled and once again we fell in to silence. I hadn't felt this content for at least a couple of weeks now and it was nice that Neville was offering his companionship in my time of need. Eventually it stopped raining so we just sat and watched the sun go down, and didn't go back inside until the stars twinkled in the sky.
