Hermione's POV:

Today is the day, the day of the first task. I stand in the Common Room as Ron descends the stairs from his dormitory with Harry and the One Direction boys behind him. As he walks towards me a lot of Gryffindors start whooping or shouting encouragement. I know they are being encouraging but Ron looks as though he's about to be sick so I pull him in to an embrace, rubbing his back and relaxing him... However much I love him I still have a very strong urge to say 'I told you so'.

"Let's go and get you some breakfast," I said, breaking the silence and grabbing his hand, squeezing it as tightly as I possibly could. He nodds because he can't bare to say any words.

The eight of us exit the Common Room and go down the stairs and in to the Great Hall. The tension is like a Gryffindor vs Slytherin Quidditch Match but 100x more... If that's possible. As we enter the hall the Slytherins hiss, but the other tables give Ron encouraging smiles and waves. The Beauxbaton and Durmstrang students didn't even look up, they were too immersed in their own students.

I sat down next to Ron and he just stared at his empty plate, his skin more pale than usual, making his red hair seem so much brighter, like a beacon of danger shining, showing us something was wrong. I picked up a slice of toast from a plate and cut it in half, "I have one half, you have the other,"

He just looked at the food in my hand not even acknowledging it, "Ron, eat it!" I basically shout at him.

"You got to eat it buddy," Louis said sypathetically.

Ron took the toast out of my hand and stared at it unseeingly. He was just about to take his first bite when Draco walked in to the Hall and an uproar started at the Slytherin table when he said, "I can't do this,"

This was going to be a long day.

Ron's POV

You would think considering I have known what the first task was for weeks I would have prepared... You're wrong... Very wrong. I haven't even got a plan, never mind learnt spells and everything. I bet all the other champions will have been practising and making it perfect and I'll just make a fool of myself. I'm going to let myself down, the Gryffindors down, and my girlfriend and almost born child. The way people are saying good luck to me and telling me I'll be brilliant isn't really helping either, it's just making me feel worse about letting them down.

"Are you sure you're not going to eat anything?"Harry asked me, Ginny clinging to his arm, worry written all over her face.

"Yea, I don't want to be sick or anything, before or during the task," I tried to smile before getting to my feet, which earned me a huge round of applause. I ran out of the hall as quickly as possible, Harry close behind me while Ginny stayed with Hermione.

We were walking down to the Quidditch Pitch together when Harry asked, "So, have you got a plan?"

"Yea," I said, trying to sound convincing.

"You haven't, have you?" He turned to look at me.

"No,"

Harry sighed and looked at the sky, "Why, you've known for weeks,"

"Well, with Hermione being pregnant it kinda preoccupied me,"

"Hmm," was his only response, support and words of comfort.

We had reached the outside of the Pitch where the tent had been set up. This was where me, Draco, Krum and Gabrielle will sit and wait whilst the others complete their challenges. Harry can also sit in here while everyone else enters the stadium.
