Draco's POV
It was a week after I had spoken to Hermione in the Library, and I still hadn't had a chance to speak to Weasley. Whenever I go to talk to him, Hermione talks to him instead, or one of my friends comes and distracts me, and by the time that's over he's disappeared. Hermione was still having trouble with her morning sickness so I knew that this morning in History of Magic was my chance.
I wasn't planning on talking to him there, there was too many people, but I was planning for us to have a meeting place planned so we can talk without either of us getting interupted.
As I expected when I arrived at History of Magic Hermione wasn't there. Professor Binns just told us to get on with the projects, so I got the notes and the project Hermione gave me to look after out of my bag. I pretended to read through the notes whilst Binns came around the classroom, but after that I got a spare piece of parchment out of my bag and a quill. I wrote:
Weasley,
We need to talk. Meet me at the trophy room tonight at 6:30pm.
- D. Malfoy
Once I had signed it, I used magic to fly it across the room to where Weasley was sitting, next to Pansy. They both weren't doing anything, neither of them had taken notes for the past 5 years, and the parchment tickled his cheek. He took it out of the air and read it. I stared at him so he could respond with a gesture, so when he looked towards me, he gave a sharp nod and scrunched the parchment, squashing it in to the pocket of his robes.
The deal was sealed.
Hermione then arrived, "You haven't worked on anything," she was exasperated. She looked a lot better than usual, maybe she was getting better and could handle it easier.
"It would have looked messy if I had layed my hands on it," I smirked.
She chuckled, "That's no excuse, you could have got the correct notes ready for me, for when I arrived, couldn't you?"
She was looking down on me, but I thought it was funny, so I laughed instead, we both ended up laughing, for no reason, till our stomachs hurt.
She breathed in quickly, hugging her stomach. She then jumped out of her seat and ran out of the classroom clutching her hand to her mouth. Everyone except Binns noticed and they stared at me and Weasley. I turned to look at him. I pointed at him and then pointed to the door. He nodded, understanding that I didn't want to intrude on anything, so he got up and also walked out the room, without Binns noticing.
Hermione didn't return the whole way through class, and neither did Weasley. At the end of the lesson I packed up my things and Hermione's things, then started towards Weasley's things to take them to his next class, when Potter got to them first.
"I have a lesson with both of them next," he said.
"Oh, yea, here's Hermione's stuff,"
"Thanks Draco," he smiled tightly. I would never be truly be friends with Potter, but I didn't want to be enemies any more.
Harry started to leave, edging towards Zayn and Liam when I said, "Wait, Harry!" he turned, "Tell Ron, if he is too busy tonight, it's alright," Harry gave me a puzzled look then I continued, "He'll understand, just give him the message please," he nodded and left the room. I also left the room, and couldn't wait for the day to be over.
*************
It was just before 6:30 when I arrived at the Trophy Room that evening. I remembered earlier on that in first year, when I was 11 and foolish, that I challenged Weasley and Potter to a duel in this very room, I never turned up, but they did. I wondered whether Weasley would actually turn up, if he would actually remember.
