Once upon a time, I was sweet and innocent, when I hadn't seen or heard anything unthinkable. You could say I was a good girl, the girl who didn't take things to the edge. I was a typical sixteen year old high school teenager who had never witnessed anything unbelievable. Until one Friday night when I was invited to a high school party by my friend Maggie Fields.

Everybody was going. All of my friends were. I decided to go, like any other typical night. It wasn't the party that changed me or the drinks or the people but something unthinkable and unbelievable happened to me that night. When I mean 'change' I don't mean my hair or clothing but myself because of this one night.

Let's refresh my mind and go back in time to the night that changed me forever.

I was at the party, drinking for once. I don't know who's party it was but everybody was there. The cheerleaders, the jocks. I guess everyone who is cliche. I was searching for somebody I knew. Maggie, Jason, Norrie, Cam.

"Alexis!" My name was being screamed from across the room, I turned my head with all of these bodies dancing around me and I felt a sense of relief when I spot one of my best friends, Jess Lancaster standing in the crowd.

She has the same ginger hair as her twin sister, Norrie Lancaster. Norrie and Jess's friend groups were exactly the same. Norrie always hung out with us, like Jess did. I absolutely loved Jess, she was the crazy one, the one who would light up the mood whenever it was down. Norrie was the same with that smiling face of hers and beautiful personality. Jess waved me over and I finally made it to where she was standing, next to her boyfriend Spencer Dolan.

"You actually came to a party!" Jess screamed with joy, Spencer laughing beside her like it was the most funniest thing he had ever heard. I didn't ever go to parties, only because it wasn't my thing and I would rather stay home and watch Netflix. It was some corny TV show I was into back then.

Jess wore a pretty blue skin tight dress and her ginger hair, similar to mine, was straightened out neatly. She wore heels that I would probably trip in and her makeup was done flawlessly. I can still picture her face that night and Spencer was loving the look of his girlfriend.

As for me, I wore something more casual. I wasn't really big on skin tight clothing even though I had the body for it. Jess was still skinner than me and she had the smile of a millionaire. I just wore navy blue jeans, a white crop top and a black jacket that wasn't exactly leather. My hair was a similar colour to Jess's, except a little lighter and I literally didn't even bother brushing it to perfection.

"Yes, I came," I say shyly. I still felt out of place even with my friends gathered around me. It was a nice atmosphere and it was different and even though I barely drank, I did try some and it actually tasted alright. "Where are the others?" I asked, my eyes scanned the room for anyone else I know.

Jess didn't bother to look around, she just shrugged. "Probably outside, near the pool. Jason and Maggie are going at it again." She laughed a little, "something about Jason stealing Maggie's phone and texting everyone on it."

I shook my head in annoyance but I remember also laughing at that. Maggie and Jason have different personalities and it always clashed. They argued about pointless things and then the next day, they'd be alright. "Typical." Spencer muttered, he took another sip of his drink like it was nothing.

I don't remember doing a lot at the party. I was too shy to dance, too shy to take anymore to drink or to walk around by myself. Before I knew it, the clock struck eleven. "Oh, no!" I checked my phone which was almost dying.
