Raishinghania Mansion, Lobby

Since the Sandhus and Virks entered the mansion the time seemed to have stopped for them. They subconsciously slowed down, admiring every single corner. The grandeur of the chandelier combined with the neat pastel grey furniture looked luxurious yet cosy. They could not think of anything else, but the beauty of the mansion. Even Jasmine was so mesmerised that she forgot to resent Tejo's fortune for a second.

"I still don't get why you have this area," Abhiraj shook his head in amusement, "the living room is already massive."

"What's there to get?" Arush spoke, "Where else will our business associates relax? This is the lobby for them to work, relax, and wait while our appointments with others are over."

"Don't you have one of the outhouses for that?" Abhiraj frowned.

"That's for meetings," Arush replied casually.

"Rupy," Harman whispered to Rupy as Arush and Abhiraj walked ahead of them, "their lobby is larger than our house, I suddenly feel stressed about meeting them."

"Don't worry Veer Ji," Rupy patted his hand, "Abhiraj and Tejo have praised them for their humility, it shouldn't be bad. Just calm down." Dadi, Satti, and Lovely relaxed a little when they saw that Rupy was casual.

"Mummy," Dilraj tugged on Satti's arm, "is Tejo Di going to live here after marriage?"

"Shh," Satti shushed him. Dilraj pouted and turned towards Navraj, and both of them gushed about the designs.

"What's the point of all this?" Gurpreet sneered, "Such a waste for simply showing off."

Satti paused in her tracks at her remark. She smirked at Gurpreet's sour expression while looking at everything. "Of course, they will show off, they have the ability to do so. Most people will admire it, and the envious ones will taunt them," Satti taunted, "Yet it won't change anything for them. I am glad my daughter found such a good, classy family, unlike last time."

"Classy?" Gurpreet mocked, "A real classy family to treat their guest so rudely. Remove the curtain of greed from your eyes and open your eyes wide. Just some rich arrogant people. Our poor Tejo, how will she manage?"

"I don't have a curtain of greed, but you surely have the colour of envy on you Gurpreet Ji," Satti glared, "are you sad that my son-in-law is much, much richer than yours? You shouldn't be, after all, everyone has their fate."

"Then it must be Tejo's fate to have such parents that don't even make sure their daughters marry well," Gurpreet taunted, "otherwise why would Tejo need to take things in her hands?" Satti gritted her teeth, almost ready to claw Gurpreet's eyes out. Over the seven years that they were relatives, she had always taunted Satti's upbringing. However, she could never reply harshly because of Jasmine. "We should keep our eyes open, else what will you do if they turn out like the previous one?"
