How We Cope With Loss

(Warning for serious depictions of self harm and mental trauma)

Back in Amphibia, the large portal to the human realm suddenly opened, and then Darcy walked through, holding the last gem, all the frobots bowed to them as they passed by them all. Darcy brought the gem to the dark energy vial where the other two calamity gems were, they then plugged the gem into it, and pulled a switch, then, the dark energy from within the vail drained completely and was converted into electricity, the gem was hit with electric sparks as it began to glow orange. Darcy looked at it and said "At last!" They grabbed all three gems and shouted "Everyone! The gems are finally ours! Now we can finally begin our glorious conquest of Earth! And all who appose us will be exterminated!! We attack by nightfall!!"
Meanwhile, Anne was flying towards Marcy's house, hoping she was ok, she eventually arrived and went inside. She went into Marcy's room but was shocked to see the most horrifying thing she's ever seen. "Marcy? HOLY SHIT MARCY WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!! NO!!!" She gasped as she saw Marcy laying there on the bed with a knife in her hand, she left several cuts all over her body, she wasn't dead, but she was bleeding a lot, there were blood stains all over the sheets. She was coughing up blood too, she was actually trying to kill herself slowly, she slowly looked over at Anne and said. "Pl-please.... Don't help me. I- I deserve to die slowly and painfully...." She started to cough again, before falling unconscious from blood loss. Anne ran over to her and dragged her body off of the bed, "SHIT!! MARCY WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS!??!" Anne shouted. She even saw that Marcy had stabbed against her stitched up stab wound from when Andrias stabbed her, causing blood to leak out of it too. If the whole thing were to break open, Marcy would surely die. She dragged Marcy across the floor as she left a blood trail. Anne was crying from seeing how much Marcy had tortured herself, she pulled her out of the room and called out to Marcy's parents, her parents came running in and saw her, when they saw her, they gasped, their daughter had actually tried to kill herself slowly and painfully. "Holy shit!! How- how did we not know about this??!" Yelled Mrs. Wu. Anne shouted to them "CALL THE AMBULANCE QUICK!!!" Mr. Wu ran for the phone as Mrs. Wu ran to her daughter and tried to stop the bleeding. Anne looked at Marcy and said "You're gonna be ok MarMar, just hang in there! I gotta call Sasha now!" She pulled out her phone and called Sasha and told her about this. Sasha responded saying she's on her way, and she'll be bringing the Plantars and Ivy with her.

Later, Marcy was in a hospital bed where she had an oxygen mask placed over her mouth. The doctor said "We've managed to stop the bleeding, but she's gonna need some serious treatment before she's been fully healed. Anne was absolutely crying when she heard this, because now she knew just how serious this was. Marcy really did try to kill herself. Sasha sat down next to her and kissed Anne on the cheek and said "I'm sure Marcy will be alright." But then Anne looked at her and said "But do you think she'll be grateful for us saving her when she wakes up? She actually wanted to die... And I was almost too late to save her." Sasha hugged Anne and said "It'll be ok, I promise." Meanwhile outside in the waiting room, Sprig and Polly were still recovering from the loss of their grandfather Hop Pop. Ivy saw the sadness in Sprig's eyes and gave him a hug to comfort him. She then looked at him in the eye and kissed him, Sprig kissed back, all Ivy wanted to do was try to comfort Sprig after what he just went through, after kissing him, she said to him "I'm so sorry..." And then she hugged him again, Sprig hugged back and started to tear up as he buried his face into her shoulder. Ivy looked at him in the eyes and asked "Is there anything I can do to help you?" But Sprig said "....All I want right now is to bring down Darcy and make that asshole pay for everything they have done." Ivy nodded and said "Don't worry Sprig, we'll stop them. I promise." She then kissed him again. Back inside the room, Marcy slowly woke up and wondered where she was, she then realized she had an oxygen mask over her face and realized she was still alive. "...No. Why am I still alive?! I should be dead!" She said. Anne and Sasha saw her and ran over to her, she tried to remove the oxygen mask but Sasha stopped her. She then said to Marcy "Please MarMar! Don't! I'm begging you!" But Marcy replied "Shut up! I shouldn't be alive anymore! This whole world is gonna fucking burn and it's all my fault! I don't deserve to live!! I should be dead! I should have died back when king Andrias stabbed me, and I did, but they just had to bring me back didn't they!! And because of that, I now know what death is like, the feeling isn't new to me! I already know how it feels to die! SO JUST LET ME DIE ALREADY AND END IT ALREADY!" But Anne shouted "Marcy! Please stop saying stuff like that! You think I don't understand how you feel?! I understand exactly how you feel! Remember! I sacrificed myself to save Amphibia from the core! The only reason I'm still alive is because I met this deity of the calamity gems who brought me back to life! But I still remember dying! I know exactly how it feels to die! Ok?! And besides! Me and Sasha had to fight in a war to get you back after the core possessed you!" Sasha then said "I had to spend most of that war on my own without either of you before Anne was able to make it back to Amphibia! But I had to lead an entire army of Newts into battle and I saw lots of death during the war! You think we weren't scarred by those events?! Well, we were, but unlike you, we had to learn to live with it! And so we got help. Right now, the one thing you need more than anything right now is help so you can get over all of it." But Marcy replied "But... but I don't deserve it. I'm a selfish bastard who only brings pain and death everywhere I go... Why should I get help, when all I do is hurt those around me, including you both?" And Anne replied "Because every life matters no matter what, no matter what mistakes you make, we'll always be your friends. We care about you, and there are good people in this world who would agree. Please Marcy. Stop clinging to the past and let us give you the help you need most." But Marcy just looked away from them. A tear came out of Anne's eye as she sighed and walked away with Sasha, Sasha looked behind her to see Marcy laying there. "One day you're gonna have to accept that the past is just the past." And then she and Anne left the room to let Marcy get some rest. As they returned to the waiting room, Polly was sitting there feeling guilty, she said to both Anne and Sasha "I shouldn't have said those hurtful things to Marcy should I." And Sasha said "Polly, no one's blaming you. It was totally understandable that you acted that way, you just lost your grandpa. I understand what you're going through." But then Polly replied "But look at what those hurtful words did to Marcy, she was already going through enough shit and I just had to make it worse. I was just so angry and upset. I wish I could tell Marcy I'm sorry, but I assume she's sleeping right now." And Anne replied "She is, let her get some rest, we're gonna need her help if we want to stop Darcy before it's too late." Little did the calamity gods know, Frogvasion 2.0 was about to begin...
