Hiding The Gem

The trio finally arrived at Washington DC. They approached the white house where the President lived. Mr. X showed the guards his clearance card, and so they let him through, they entered the building. As they approached the President, Mr. X said "Alright, let me do the talking first." He walked into the room and the President saw him and said "Oh, Mr. X, what are you doing here?" And Mr. X replied "I got a few people you might be familiar with. Then Anne and Sasha and the Plantars walked into the room. The President was shocked to see them. "Oh my goodness! Anne Boonchuy? Sasha Waybright? H-here in the White House?! I- I didn't think this would happen! Um... ok, sorry about that, I'm just a big fan and I never thought I'd meet you two like this. That's all." Then Sasha said "Ok... well, we were going to tell you something." And the President responded "Alright then, but who are these other people with you? Are they from Amphibia?" And Anne replied "Yeah, they're the Plantars, and this one is Ivy." And then the President saw Olivia and Yunan and asked "And who might you two be?" And then Yunan took this opportunity to say her insanely long introduction speech. "My name is General Yunan, Scourge of the Sand Wars, Defeater of Ragnar the Wretched, aaaaaand... the youngest newt to ever achieve the rank of General in the great Newtopian army!" After she finished saying that, the President said "Um... ok I think I get it, no need to tell me your life story..." Olivia then said "My wife can be like that sometimes when anyone asks her name, get used to it, anyway, my name is Olivia, and Yunan and I are the leaders of Amphibia, we've come a long way, something very terrible has happened, and now Earth is in danger." After hearing this, the President said "Meet me in my office. Tell me everything."

Anne finished telling the President everything that has happened so far. The president responded "If the core is after this gem, we need to hide it. I'll have it moved to the most secure vault we have." "Good, we can't let Darcy get this, otherwise, who knows what they'll do!" Said Anne. "What do we do now?" Asked Hop Pop. And the President said "Well, you told me the frobots that work for Darcy are currently on the loose hunting for the gem, that means we need to send out the emergency alert system worldwide, alert everyone to stay in their homes, avoid any frobots. We need to warn them about what's coming. Darcy will not stop until they have the gem. And they will not hesitate to kill everyone." Sasha then said "Good, keeping everyone safe is the main priority here. Once we can confirm everyone is safe, we try to figure out what Darcy's next move will be." Then Anne added "Then we find my parents before Darcy can get any info out of them." Later the emergency alert broadcast was sent out worldwide, everyone's TV started showing an alert, warning them that the Core has returned and has waged war on the human race. Their minions are out and about hunting for the last calamity gem that Darcy doesn't have yet. The warning tells them to stay put in their homes, and close up everything, and don't let any frobots find them. Everyone who read this alert on the TV quickly did what it told them to do, knowing that invasion was once again upon them. 
Meanwhile across the sea, Marcy looked at the TV screen to see it showing the warning, after reading it, she started to panic, she said "No... it can't be. Sasha was actually telling the truth! But- but we had them! WE HAD THEM! THEY SHOULD BE DEAD! HOW DID THEY SURVIVE?! AND WHY ARE THEY TRYING TO PASS AS DARCY AGAIN?!" Marcy calmed down after that, she then looked into her old closet and found her old sword. She took a look at it, her face reflecting off of the metal sword. She then decided that maybe it was time to go back into battle once again, she activated her calamity powers, but not enough to allow her calamity uniform to materialize, and she took off into the air. Flying at light speed, she arrived at the white house where Anne and Sasha and the others were. She knocked on the door, and Sasha opened it and was shocked to see Marcy standing there. "Marcy? What are you doing here?" And Marcy reluctantly said "I- I want to help..." And Sasha replied "Oh, well that's great! Come on in." Meanwhile the President was talking to Anne. "We just got the calamity gem moved to the most secure vault we have. Made with the same kind of tech that Mr. X's briefcase has, so that way they can't track it." Then Marcy walked in and both Anne and the President were shocked to see her. "Oh my goodness, MarMar?!" Said Anne. And Anne replied "Uh... hey Anne." She tried to smile but couldn't. Anne walked over to her and hugged her. "It's just great to see you." She said. Then Sasha and the others walked in, and Sasha said "Looks like we got the calamity trio back together again." The President then said to them, "Anyway, in the meantime, make yourselves at home here. We got plenty of guest bedrooms here. You can totally stay if you'd like." And Sprig replied "Oh, thank you." 
Later that night, Anne and Sasha were off to a single bedroom and then Anne asked "Hey Marcy, would you like to sleep in the same room? It'll be like an old slumber party!" But Marcy replied "...Sorry, I just... I just want to be by myself for a moment..." And she walked into a single bedroom. Anne looked at Sasha and said "I hope Marcy will be ok." And Sasha replied "She'll be fine. Just give her time." In the bedroom, Sasha noticed Anne was looking kind of sad and asked "Hey, are you alright?" But Anne instantly replied "No, I'm not alright. My parents were taken, and now the whole world is in danger again!" And Sasha replied "Well, I guess it makes sense that we'd be saving the world considering these powers we have are a pretty big deal." But Anne replied "Look, when I was talking to the Deity and asked if we could keep these powers, I wanted to keep these powers because I wanted to do something truly good in my future. And these powers could have given me that future, but now all I'm faced with is this huge responsibility where the fate of the entire world is in my hands! And Yours too!" And Sasha replied "Well, you know what they say, with great power comes great responsibility." Anne chuckled at that reference. But then she said "All I ever wanted was just to be someone who people could look up too, and I got that... but now I have to maintain that rank and hopefully not screw up. This responsibility has become way bigger than I ever could have imagined it could be." Then Sasha said "Well if it makes you feel any better, your not in this alone, we're all behind you with this. And we'll make sure we kill the Core properly this time." She then started to inch a little closer to Anne, most particularly her lips. But then Anne interrupted her and said "Uh, what are you doing?" And Sasha panicked and said "Uh.. nothing! Hehe." She blushed a little bit before saying "You know what? Let's just go to bed, we got a big day tomorrow hunting the Core down." She then went to sleep beside her, Anne looked towards the fireplace to see Sprig and Ivy fast asleep and cuddling together in front of it. "Hehe, Sprivy forever." she said. She then looked at Sasha besides her, and kissed her on the cheek before falling fast asleep next to her. 
Meanwhile in the other room, Marcy was having a hard time sleeping, she couldn't help but feel guilty all over again. The Core, or Darcy was back and was invading Earth again. Marcy felt like as if this was her fault still since none of this, literally none of this stuff would have ever happened if she hadn't been so selfish and sent herself and her friends to Amphibia using the calamity box. So she knew, whatever happens next, she must take full responsibility for the blame if something bad happens. "It's all my fault, and always will be." She says to herself. But then she remembers hearing the core's voice in her head, it could have just been her going crazy, but she remembered the core telling her that if she wants to be freed from this guilt and pain she should join the minds of the core. She starts to wonder if that might actually set her free from this pain she must deal with.
