Forgiveness

Marcy walked outside the room, the others noticed her leave. "Marcy! You're awake!" Said Anne, Marcy continued walking until she got outside, Anne followed her out there, she saw Marcy standing there, she was thinking to herself, the words that the deity told her were repeating in her mind. Anne approached her and asked "Hey, Marcy, are you alright?" And Marcy turned around and said "I- I met the deity that you told me about...." And Anne replied "Wait really?! What did they say?" And Marcy looked down and said "I was wrong... I'm so sorry for making you and Sasha worry about me, all I had to do was let go of the past.... I just didn't think you would want to be friends with me after I sent us to Amphibia and put the whole world in danger." And then Anne said "Marcy, you know none of that is true, we'll always be your friends." Then Marcy said "The deity told me if I wanna finally stop Darcy, I would have to stop letting the past hold me back from using my powers. Since all it does is bring me more pain and regret... But how can I move on from something like that??" And Anne walked up to her and grabbed her hands and said "Well, I'm not a therapist or anything, but I can say that rather than try to forget the past and bury it, just let it be, but don't cling onto it. I get it, you did lots of things you've come to regret from the past, and I hated seeing what that did to you, but you can learn to live with it, that's what me and Sasha did, we've had our regrets too. Like, at one point, remember when I had to fight Sasha? One of my friends? I hated it. But eventually we forgave each other and moved on, what I think is that you need to forgive yourself." And then Marcy hugged her and said "I'll try... But I fear that may take a while..." And Anne said "That's alright, recovery takes time." And then they stopped hugging and Marcy looked at her hand and said "For so long I held these powers back, because all they did was remind me of my past. Thinking they were a curse, but now.... now I realize that holding these powers back was wrong, and the reason why I was still getting people hurt was because I was giving into guilt and regret, that's how I was easily manipulated by Darcy...." And then Anne said "I understand, and that's ok, you just didn't want to live with that pain, I forgive you Marcy, and I always will, even Polly and Sprig are still your friends despite what happened to Hop Pop, and if Hop Pop were still here, he would want you to stop beating yourself up about the past and learn to live with it and move on. Marcy, your powers are not a curse, yes they're the result of something traumatic, well sort of, but they have a bigger meaning, with these powers, we could do amazing things for this world." And then, Anne used her powers and it caused a flower to grow out of the ground. Marcy saw that and decided to give it a try, and she used her powers, but instead of growing a small flower, she ended up growing a massive tree instead. "Marcy was shocked by what she was able to do with her powers. Despite having them for so long she had barely used them and because of this she still wasn't fully sure of what her powers were truly capable of. "See Marcy? Our powers are gifts, gifts that were given to us by fate, and that's why it's up to us to use these powers to defeat Darcy and save not just our world, but so many other worlds as well." Anne said. Then Marcy looked at the tree and said "It's great to finally let these powers out... I wish I had done that sooner though... maybe then we wouldn't be in this serious situation." And then, Sasha, Sprig and Polly walked outside to find them. Sasha ran over to Marcy and hugged her, and then, Anne came in as well, the trio gave each other a big group hug. And for the first time, in a long time, Marcy smiled. Polly walked over to her and said "Hey uh, Marcy?" Marcy looked at her and Polly continued "I'm-I'm truly sorry for the things I said to you. I never meant to make you feel so guilty, especially knowing what you were going through, I never wanted to make it worse. I miss Hop Pop a lot, but I know you never wanted him to die. So I'm really sorry." She then hugged Marcy, and she hugged back and said "It's alright, I'm still your friend." And then Sprig hugged her too saying "I'm so glad you're alright." After that, Marcy noticed her parents running outside to see her, they quickly ran over to her sobbing." Marcy approached them as Mr. Wu said "Oh my god MarMar we were so worried you weren't going to make it!" And Mrs. Wu said "Oh thank god you're ok!" And then Marcy replied "Yes Mom, I'm ok, in fact, for the first time in a while, I'm better than ok." And she hugged them both. For the first time in a while, Marcy was finally happy again.
Later the trio went inside where they met with the President, Mr. X, and Olivia and Yunan, they discussed their plan to bring down Darcy. "The satellites took photos from above the city that Darcy attacked, and it revealed this." Said Mr. X. He then showed them the images they had taken, the images showed a massive fortress was being built in the center of the city, along with protective walls around the whole thing. "What the hell have they been building in there?" Asked Sasha. "We don't know, but what we also found was that they're also making some kind of forcefield right here in the city." Said Yunan. And then Anne said "That must be a forcefield for the big fortress in the center, that has to be where Darcy will unite the corrupted gems with the calamity box which will destroy everything! If we want to stop the calamity box before the gems charge it, we have to take down that forcefield." Said Anne. And then Marcy said "You guys will take down that forcefield, I'll go in and remove the gems from the box." But then Olivia said "It's not so simple Marcy, you see, those gems have been infused with a super destructive form of matter, if you touch it, it will kill you, if you wanna remove those gems, then all three of you must use and combine your powers and remove the gems at the same time, it's the only way to have them removed safely." Then Marcy said "Ok then, this might be harder than we anticipated." And then the President said "And there's another problem, we don't have enough soldiers or resources to even the odds of this attack, that city is crawling with frobots all around it, Darcy has a huge army of frobots. They outnumber us and still have several advantages over us." But then Sasha said "Oh don't worry, so do we." And the President asked "How?" And then Anne replied "Remember, Amphibia has an army of its own, the three of us will go to Amphibia and recruit the Newtopian army for this battle, is that alright?" She looked at Olivia and Yunan since they were the leaders of Amphibia, and Olivia replied "Yes, we will march our soldiers into battle, we will help you fight for your world, I promise." And then Sasha smiled and said "Alright, looks like we finally got ourselves a plan!" And Marcy replied "But guys, remember, Darcy has basically conquered millions upon millions of other worlds across the multiverse, and they've clearly won." But then Anne replied "I don't care how big the odds are against us, Darcy may have wiped out so many civilizations before, but they never were able to wipe us out, we beat them before, we'll beat them again. So, let's get started shall we?"
