It was the next day and I awoke on my couch alone. I heard a soft chatter ahead of me in my kitchen. I found Reyna and Neon in a lighthearted conversation, which makes me just smile. Reyna can be really hard on all of Valorant. But she has a complete soft spot for Neon, and it's the sweetest thing.

Reyna and I first actually started conversing with each other when Brimstone assigned us to train Neon together. I remember hearing Reyna go off on him about how crazy it is that she has to work with me, and let alone train someone. It was like the worst thing to ever happened to her. It must have been the most amusing thing I have ever watched. I was used to being put on training duty, but I never thought I'd see the day where the Empress Reyna herself would train young, new team members.

Reyna and I before Neon were honestly like enemies. We are polar opposites. We bickered and insulted each other on the daily. But after the first time I threw out a comment about how unethical her ways were, then she just found me amusing. I swear this girl must've planned out comments days ahead of time.

Reyna loved to flirt, which I honestly used to hate, but over time it kind of grew on me. I thought I'd never let her catch onto the fact that her comments were slightly comforting. I took it as her way of opening up to me. It led me to know when she was feeling off when she didn't make comments, or wasn't feeling well. She is very easy to read once you take the time to understand her. While she is very crude, she never said anything inappropriate in front of Neon. She cares for her like I do. I have trained most of the protocol, so I've created deep relationships with all the team, but Neon was her first trainee, and it was important to her that she lived and was trained well.

I wish more people could see this sweet side of Reyna, that Neon and I see, but she tries so hard to conceal it. I wonder why she's trying to protect herself so much. I will figure it out one day, but I will not push her.

I continued to look at them before I noticed some purple eyes latch onto mine with a smile.

"Good morning Sage, sleep well?"

"Yes, very, how are you two doing?" I asked watching the two plate up some eggs. They walked over to me handing me a plate.

"I'm doing good, the nights sleep helped a lot. I'm feeling fully refreshed" Neon said between bites of egg.

"I'm glad, Reyna?"

"I'm fine, though I could've used a few hours more of sleep. Little Neon over here stirs too much in her sleep, I'm surprised she didn't wake you too" I chuckled to her response.

"I'm a deep sleeper" I stated watching Neon finish up her eggs and put her plate in the sink.

"I'm gonna head out now, Brim said he needs everybody for a meeting in a couple hours and I wanted to stop by the gym first."

"Alright, don't overwork your body today. Today should be a rest day for you" Reyna said sternly. Neon nodded her head quickly before leaving my room.

"She is just the cutest, isn't she?" I asked Reyna after setting my plate down on the coffee table. I stood up to head to the bathroom.

"Not as cute as you" I rolled my eyes.

"You're getting pretty basic with your flirting now, I wouldn't want to catch you slacking" I winked and quickly headed to the bathroom before she could have a response. I closed the door and locked it so she couldn't get in. My smile ran big the entire time I brushed my teeth.

All throughout the day was a ton of group training hosted by Brimstone and Breech. They did a lot of five versus five with different groups of agents. They wanted us to try all varieties of groups. Ranging from sentinels against all duelists to a one versus five. Brimstone was not playing today.
