Right when I was ready to go, in a long sleeved turtleneck and joggers, I called for Reyna.
"Reyna, you coming with me?" I asked.
"Of course I am" I watched made her way to the door and bend over to pick up her shoes.
"What a lovely view" I joked as she laced up her boots. When she leaned back up she pinched my cheek and said something in Spanish. I then pushed the door open and headed out first.
"Sage! What perfect timing, I've been looking for you all day!" Killjoy exclaimed. Reyna stepped out next to me. Killjoy stopped talking just to look at what she just witnessed. Reyna just shrugged her shoulders at me when I looked at her for help. I decided to just ignore that we were caught walking out of my room.
"What's your excitement about Killjoy?" I asked, hoping to avoid the Reyna topic. She hesitated before answering.
"I found a way for you to train in reviving someone. I can mix radianite and some of my tech together to make this orb thing that can replicate the soul of a dead on in a robot"
"Is that like ethically okay Killjoy? I don't want to be messing with some evil forces" I cringed.
"It's all tech based, so it shouldn't be messing with anything because it was never alive to begin with"
"I'm glad,"
"But I will need you to test it out to see if I did it all correctly and if it feels the same as the real thing, are you up to it right now? Or are you busy?" She asked eying the tall female next to me who looks visibly bored.
"I'm open now, I can do basic training later"
"Alrighty, I'll lead the way"

I shooed off Reyna so Killjoy could explain everything without her bugging in questioning everything. She set me up in an empty soundproof room with a dummy robot standing. She just told me to shoot it, and it should trigger the life orb. I picked up the sheriff she left. And shot the robot in the head making it fall limp. I went over to it and called on my ability. I waved my hands and proceeded with the motion of reviving. Which brought this robot right back up to its feet. Killjoy walked back in with some scrap metal and a few tools.
"How did it go?" She asked.
"It felt slightly off, but the ability went straight through to it"
"I'll have to make a couple adjustments to it after you're done with training today" I nodded my head and watched her patch up the robots head. "I know you like training alone Sage, which is why I set a room up just for this, but I do need to keep an eye on you in the time being in case anything goes wrong"
"I'll really be just fine Killjoy, if I need you I'll call" she looked hesitant, but gave a slight nod.
"I'm here if you need me, I'll be in the room next door with Raze"
"Thank you"
I watched as she walked out the door before attempting this process again. I shot the bot in the head again and moved to resurrect it. I had the sharp needle like sensation, as I always do, but completed the resurrection. I took a seat on the ground for a few minutes to recoup. It's always exhausting doing any kind of healing. After lots of basic healing training when I first got my abilities, I barley get worn out until my 10th heal. But when it comes to resurrection I can only really do 4 a day max. That's why I'm working on this.
About ten minutes later I got up again to try again. I repaired the bot with some scrap metal, like how Killjoy showed me, then shot it once more. I bent down and started up my resurrection process. I called to my ability once again, pain shot through my arms, and I had to restart again. Once again searing pain coursed through my veins. But I pushed through. I placed my hands on the bots chest, rather hard to hold my balance. I took deep breaths before pushing my power through. I closed my eyes to focus all of my energy on the one being. Pushing and pushing until it finally stood up again. It took what felt like hours, but must've been only thirty or so minutes.
I laid on the ground, my hands over my eyes to shield from the fluorescent lighting. My hands twitched a few time. Which only happens every once in awhile when I push myself too far. I heard the door being pushed open.
"Killjoy I'm fine, just taking a break" I spoke loud enough that she'd hear.
"It's me Sage" I heard the warm deep voice say.
"Reyna? What are you doing here? I thought you went off to train?" I kept my hands over my eyes because I knew my slight headache would worsen if I looked at the light. I felt a shuffle next to me.
"You know you don't have to do all the practice at once Sage, you can spread it out" she said ignoring my question.
"I know that, but I can't delay reviving teammates if they need me. The max I have to revive is an hour from when they die. I need to work harder to make this easier" I just heard a sigh.
"You know you can spread it out, then when it becomes easier you can start pushing the reviving practices closer together"
"No, that'll take too long" I heard another sigh before she spoke again.
"Can you stand? Or even sit up right now?" She asked. I shook my head no.
"I just need a few more minutes, then I'll get up and go again. I need to get to at least four today"
"How many have you gotten so far?"
"Three. I'm so close"
"Three! No wonder you can't even sit up. I'm taking you back to your room. The others will understand"
"No, no, I'll be fine" I said while trying to push her hands off of me. I failed miserably. She picked me up, and I put my arms around her neck and she held my legs around her waist. While I'd hate to admit it, I could barely hold onto her neck.
"You're so weak. I really should keep my eye on you more" I didn't speak the rest of the way back to my room, I was too exhausted.
She laid me on my bed and started to walk away.
"Wait, where are you going?"
"I'm just going to grab you a water, don't worry, I would never leave you alone like this" that gave me some peace of mind. She came back a minute later with a bottle of water, which I gladly accepted. I patted the bed next to me, hoping she'd come in. And she did. She helped me move between her legs because she was sitting up. And I wrapped my arms around her waist before falling into a long, deep, sleep.

FanfictionYou would think the first time I ever got kissed would definitely not be against a brick wall on A of Accent. With Reyna. The story goes right to the point pretty much and is aimed more toward 18+ crowds.
