I don't know what to do.

I don't know.

This timer is going so fast and my brain cannot fathom the situation I am in right now. My experiences up until now have not prepared me for this moment. How does one choose which family member to save?

They don't, is the correct answer.

"Tick-Tock, only 10 minutes left, Sage" The echo of Fades voice through an intercom sent shivers down my spine.

My eyes found my family once again, taking in the sight of each of their appearances. Sova had a shot through his heart, Neons neck was still oozing blood, Reynas lips, chin, and neck are covered in dry blood while her torn outfit was drenched from the stab wound, Brimstones arms have mostly stopped bleeding aside from a few droplets remaining, and Yoru had the cleanest of wounds, a snapped neck.

I need to shut off my thoughts, just like I was taught. Being rational isn't a suggestion anymore. There's a possibility I could resurrect two agents within 5 minutes I can push my limits. If Brimstone came back to life right now, his arms would begin to bleed once again, or he wouldn't be able to wake up due to blood loss. Sovas bullet looked like it didn't go through clean all the way, and hearts are complicated to heal. The knife is out of Neons hand, and the shot through her neck was clean. Reyna... Reyna's stab wounds are jagged and looked as if it may have punctured an organ. Neon would be the easiest heal out of all the agents. Yoru would be the second easiest to revive. Making Reyna the third. Fuck.

Why am I supposed to be the one who chooses who can live or not? I'm literally comparing each agents level of brutal death, in order to decide who I can resurrect the fastest. The constant headache I can't soothe isn't making this any less difficult.

My eyes found the timer once again,

5 minutes remaining. Where is Fade, I have to start now. A click sounded from the door and in came a smiling fade with a single key dangling from her fingers. She slowly approached, eyes never leaving mine.

"Are you ready Sage?" No. No I am definitely not ready. But I have no choice. She started to undo one hand from the chair, metal peeling off my raw wrist. With the second restraint she went even slower to undo my wrist. Once my wrists were free, I shoved fade to the side as forcefully as I could, fell to my knees, which led to both my ankles cracking. A yelp must've escaped my lips because I heard Fades chuckle echo through my head. I reached for the first body, Neon. Grabbing her leg, I dragged her closer to me and called forth my abilities.

Warmth spread from my heart to my legs and arms. Finally it found my fingertips, and I pushed hard at the flow in order to resurrect her. Once her body was warm, I moved towards Yoru. My legs were freed, which made it easier to crawl. Fade must've finished unlocking my restraints after she recouped.

Immediately my hands found Yorus heart and I started the flow once again. A quick glance at the timer told me I had 4 minutes remaining.

This time was not as smooth as the last. My energy was prickling the inside of my skin, my heart became a little tighter, and my arms and fingertips stung. I still continued. Pushing my abilities through my body as fast as I could, I started to feel warmth.

Thank the Gods!

Letting myself exhale before shakily moving towards Reyna. Please give me enough time. Please, please, please...

Clasping her hands with both of mine, I placed them all on top of her heart. My arms shook when I called forth my abilities this time. My head spun and throbbed in horrendous pain.

I know I can do this. I've healed three before, and I can do it again.

My abilities spread through my body in jagged strikes. This time it didn't pulse through like it was supposed to, it was staggered in uneven streams. So I pushed harder,
