Returning to the day of Naruto's birth and the Kyuubi attack, it is known that Naruto and a select few individuals were aware of Kurama's manipulation in orchestrating the incident. However, the general populace was blinded by their anger and unable to recognize this truth. Kurama was coerced into carrying out the attack on its jinchuuriki; it was not an act of its own volition. Bijuus, including Shukaku, do not harm humans out of boredom but rather as a form of self-defense, driven by the fear of being sealed away and deprived of the freedom they once enjoyed. Despite Kurama's attempts to resist, the control exerted over it was overwhelming. If Kurama did not isolate itself from those memories, it would likely acknowledge its traumatic nature. The eyes of those who commanded Kurama served as a painful reminder that it had been subjected to control not just once, but twice in its history. The first instance occurred when Madara Uchiha manipulated Kurama to fight against the First Hokage.

It is a universally acknowledged truth that being controlled is a detestable experience, and individuals themselves are fully aware of this fact. When someone is manipulated into committing abhorrent acts, it is understandable that those around them would develop hatred towards them. Unfortunately, due to their blindness, they often fail to recognize that the controlled individuals themselves did not desire to be under such control. This applies even to esteemed figures like the Kages, who, despite being renowned for their power, can still fall victim to manipulation when faced with overwhelming force.

"Kitsune, there is information indicating that members of ROOT have aligned themselves with the rebels involved in the Civil War in Mist. I have been skeptical of the Mizukage's insistence on the Bloodline Purge. Having lived through all three World Wars, I am experienced enough to sense that Yagura is not acting like himself at present. During the Third Shinobi War, I fought alongside him, and he exhibited qualities similar to yours. He was a charismatic leader who inspired his comrades to stand up and fight. "You are displaying undue leniency," Naruto responded sternly, emphasizing that a murderer should never be granted pardon. Ironically, he had readily forgiven Gaara, despite his previous actions.

On his way to Mist, Naruto felt compelled to visit the Uzushio Ruins, his mother's homeland. However, the memories associated with this place brought back a tragic past, reminding him of the reason why he had grown up without a family and had been subject to the cruelty of the villagers who lacked the capacity to protect him from harm.

Resuming his mission, Naruto continued his journey towards the beleaguered village. Along the way, he employed the use of his Hiraishin technique, ensuring his movements remained covert. Upon his arrival, he was struck by a wave of distress as he witnessed the pervasive poverty that plagued the region. The sight of decaying corpses strewn across the streets was repulsive, leaving him to wonder what had befallen Mist and who was responsible for such horrors, his smirk betraying his suspicions.

As he reached the battlefield, Naruto immediately noticed the emotionless puppets known as ROOT engaging in combat against the rebels who had aligned themselves against the shinobi supporting the Mizukage.

Were it not for the orders of the Hokage, Naruto would have likely joined forces with the rebels. However, he heeded the advice of Hiruzen, recognizing the importance of discerning the truth beneath the surface before hastily judging based solely on his immediate senses.

With skillful stealth, Naruto navigated his way through the heavily guarded Mizukage Tower, which appeared reminiscent of a dam. He couldn't help but note the ineptitude of the guards, as they failed to detect his presence even when a slight breeze brushed past them.
