CHAPTER 20: CHUNIN EXAMS III - FINALS

The news spread like a wildfire and in no time the whole world found out that Danzo Shimura was assassinated by one of his own.

Honestly, Hiruzen expected this to affect the villages' relationship with Konoha negatively but apparently not. The villages were now willing to help Konoha.The kages are now willing to go to the Chunin Exams.

A month passed and it is finally the Chunin Exam Finals.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the time has arrived for the chunin exams finals. Here we are with all our 5 daimyo's and kages as our special guests to watch the chunin exams. It is indeed a once in a life time happening to have all these important people as guests, as such, all contestants must do their best to not bring shame upon their country. Therefore, let the game begin!"

"May I require all contestants to go to our designated place to wait for the next matches except for Uchiha Sasuke and Temari of the Sand as they shall remain. Let me introduce you to our referee for today's event, Hayate Gekko. But before the first match starts, our ANBU Commander, Kitsune wants to say something."

"Where's Naruto? God he's going to miss Sasuke's match." Shikamaru groaned.

"Before anyone can complain about the matchmakings, it is I who decided who shall face whom, so for all to not think that our Beloved Hokage has a favorite amongst the contestants, therefore he asked me to do the task. I shall not receive any complaints regarding this matter. That is all." Kitsune spoke with a demonic voice that made everyone's blood run cold for a second.

After his speech, he went back to his original position which was behind Hiruzen. Coincidentally, Naruto just came in panting like crazy as if he just ran a kilometer on his way here.

"With that, let the first match between Uchiha Sasuke and Temari of the Sand Commence!"

Naruto breathed out a sigh of relief, "Thank God I didn't miss his match."

"Show me what you've got, Uchiha!" He shouted to Sasuke who smirked, "Oh crud, his competitive side" Hiruzen worried.

"Roger, Master." Sasuke replied in his mind as his three tomoed sharingan sparked in excitement.

"It's rare of Naruto to not call Sasuke by his name." Shikamaru thought.

"Three already?" Kakashi thought looking at Naruto who was watching the battle closely with a smirk.

"Don't get your family clan name in your head boy!"

"Who said it did?" Sasuke replied calmly.

"I improved by hardwork and an excellent master, not just because of my sharingan!" Sasuke said exhilarated, then continuously spat out fireballs.

Temari then jumped backwards, swung her fan as she thought it would extinguish the fire but it did the exact opposite, the fire enlarged putting her life in danger.

She tried to run as fast as she can, with chakra just to avoid that overly massive ball of fire.

Once she escaped from the path the fireball was heading, she was panting but then a shadow appeared infront of her. "You lose." then everything went black.

"WINNER: UCHIHA SASUKE!!!" Everyone cheered loudly.

"Well done!" Naruto shouted and Sasuke smirked at him, "How could I bring shame upon your name sir" Sasuke mouthed.

"NEXT ROUND! SHIKAMARU NARA VERSUS KANKURO" he announced.

"Goodluck, Shikamaru!" Naruto cheered.
