CHAPTER 19: REVELATIONS

One of the village elders and former leader of the ROOT was hung upside down, headless. A table beside the lifeless body, on top of it was the geezer's head. A pool of blood, below the hung body and more still pouring out, to the ground.

A truly horrifying scene to look at even for the Hokage.

"What the hell?!" Jiraiya exclaimed.

"You're late" A demonic voice spoke from somewhere which Hiruzen recognized.

"Kitsune, you did this?" He asked calmly.

"I did, and what about it?" Kitsune pulled down his mask to chest level, revealing two bloody red eyes with slits as it's pupils and darkened whisker marks. Any traces of innocence as a twelve years old, gone.

'He has Minato's hair but Kushina's face structure' Jiraiya thought reminiscing about his student and the red hot headed female's memories together.

"Why did you do it??" Hiruzen questioned.

"Do you not want me to? Well too bad, I've been itching to finish off that old geezer ever since Shisui died and Itachi left." Naruto spat in disdain.

Jiraiya and Hiruzen we're speechless, and watched Naruto vanish to the darkness.

A week passed after the termination of one of the village elders, Danzo Shimura. The whole civilian council was in a chaos, demanding for execution of Kitsune while the shinobi side of the council sat there relaxing.

Shikaku Nara was checking out his nails, Shibi Aburame and Hiashi Hyuga was stoic as ever, Choza Akimichi just chillin' eating his neverending bag of chips, and lastly, Inoichi busy admiring his ponytail. In other words they didn't give a fuck.

"SILENCE" The Third Hokage voiced, all screams of protests immediately stopped as they all shivered from the KI (Killing Intent) The 'The Professor' was leaking.

All clan heads from the shinobi side smirked at the pissed off face the civilian side wore.

One woman named Mebuki Haruno couldn't hold on for any longer, "Lord Hokage! What the heck happened to Lord Danzo?!" She screeched causing everyone to wince at the loudness of her high pitched voice.

"He was assassinated." The Hokage calmly replied.

"Why are you so calm with it?!" One stood up and Hiruzen glared at them.

"You WILL address me as your hokage, not someone who's lower than you, you piece of shits. I'm not the previous garbage third hokage you knew." He spoke.

"I for once, do not care." He started, causing his two advisors to look at him in confusion, "How dare you speak to Danzo like that?" Homura spoke, "What? Look at what he did to MY village."

"What did he even do?" Koharu butted in.

"I'll take charge, your honor." Kitsune spoke, his demonic voice sending shivers down everyone's spine. "Very well."

"Danzo Shimura, truth be told is the dark side of Konoha. He WILL protect Konoha, no matter the cost is. He manipulates people to keep Konoha safe, heck even sacrifice lives for it. Yes it's a good purpose however, his ways of protecting it are not the right ones. I may not know what happened to him and Lord Hokage but, he apparently wanted to be the Hokage, however the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju chose Hiruzen Sarutobi over him. That ignited the darkness in his heart, pursuaded him to protect Konoha however he wants. He created ANBUs, who're named ROOTs, they were shinobis handpicked by Danzo himself.

During the Third Shinobi World War, Danzō agreed to provide aid to Hanzō of Amegakure in order to receive help in claiming the title of Hokage, sending some of his forces to deal with Akatsuki, but they were all wiped out by Nagato. Danzō manipulated Hanzō into joining forces with him against Akatsuki, having brought him corpses of Ame shinobi claiming they were killed by Akatsuki. In truth, they were Root members disguised as Iwa shinobi that were killed during the Akatsuki leader's rampage, originally being used to disrupt a peace treaty between Konohagakure and Iwagakure in his pursuit to strengthen Konohagakure. Once the two shinobi joined forces, Danzō approached Akatsuki as an Ame shinobi named Kanzo, informing them that Hanzō is allowing the group to make peace negotiations, which of course was a ruse concocted by the allied shinobi.
