Life as a Freshmen? Not so great.

"Fuck," Those word came out from Irys' mouth as she stood infront of a crowd composing of both humans and beasthumans.

"Hey, guys! Here's my cousin! Say hi to her! She's gonna bust that nut in this house!!" her violet-haired devil cousin cheered, which was immediately responded with screams, some even threw cans of beer at each other as the party proceeded.

"This is totally bad luck," the maroon-haired nephilim facepalmed, realising those signs, which she ignored since she believed that it wasn't bad luck, were actually real.

Flashback

"Might... need to put some impression on the first day," Muttering to herself while fixing her hair, she accidentally dropped her mirror in her hand, causing it to break upon landing on the floor.

"My bad," she started collecting the shards on the floor and fortunately, she didn't get any cuts in the process.

Throwing the said shards on the nearby trash can, she carried her backpack, sling bag and 2 suitcase outside of her house. She then went back to lock her room from the outside and her house, since her mom had already left for work.

"She didn't even wake me up."

Waiting for a bus to arrive, a black cat crossed in front of her. With a smile on her face, she crouched and gave a pat to its head, giving a purr as the cat enjoyed her hand. Observing the cat in a close distance, she admired its orange eyes and a purple ribbon in its neck.

"Too bad I can't bring you to school," her smile turned upside down, remembering the rules of not allowing any sort of animals inside the campus.

The black cat started running away when the sound of a bus was heard behind her.

Disheartened and sad from the quick rendezvous, she decided to ride the bus with her luggage. As she looked outside the bus, the cat was already gone. Probably gone stray or returned to its owner.

"Bye bye, kitty," she mumbled before the bus began its journey.

Within 3 hours, the bus stopped at the gate of a subdivision-looking place. It was the campus of Cover University, she thought as she gazed at the signage above the gate. Composing herself, she carried her luggage outside the bus.

She took a deep breath after hearing the bus' departure. 

"It's your first day, Irys. Calm yourself. First impressions last longer," she clapped her cheeks before deciding to enter the campus.

As she walked through the campus road, she noticed the rustling sound coming from the tall grasses beside the street. Glancing at the grasses, the sounds stopped all of a sudden, which made Irys become more aware of her surroundings. Keeping her eyes on the grass while walking, she didn't realise that there's a person rushing in front of her.

"Ow!" The person fell down after she bumped at the nephilim.

"Are you okay?" Irys asked with a concerned tone. Observing the person's features, which was a girl smaller than her, she has pink hair and noticeable ears similar to a cat.

"Yes, I'm fine!" The pink-haired girl squeaked, obviously panicking based on her tone.

"Are you sure?"

"I'm very sure!" She then stood from the ground and dusted herself

"A catgirl?"

"Uhm. A coyote, to be specific. I'm Koyori. Hakui Koyori. And you are?"
