I had fallen asleep in the field, tears streaming down my face.

I felt someone shake my body, "Lindsey" they shook me. "Lindsey baby wake up" I shot up, breathing hard from the bad memories.

My eyes finally landed on the person calling my name, the tears didn't stop o was full on sobbing as I looked into my mother's eyes.

"Mom" I gasped. "Yes baby it's me" she wrapped her arms around me, hugging me tightly.

"No no, this isn't real, I'm not seeing you" I mumbled to myself "If I can see you than, this is real, I'm really gone." I kept mumbling.

My mother rubbed my back soothingly. "Yes baby it's really me, you are gone but that's ok" she said.

"No!" I yelled "I'm not gone, I'm not dead I can't," I stammered. "I can't be dead" I sobbed. "Please just make it stop!" I yelled.

"Yes you are" she shook me out of my rambling. "Lindsey you are dead. And you're not coming back, you have to accept that." She told me.

I shook my head. How was I supposed to accept that I was dead?

"I know baby, it was hard for me too, but once you move on, once you get there, you'll be reunited with all the people you thought you lost" she told me and smiled.

"I know it seems scary but you'll be fine sweetie" she promised me.

I nodded my head in understanding. "How are you here?" I asked her.

"Anyone can come back down whenever they want, some people do it so they can really be with there loved ones rather than just watching over them" she explained.

My brows furrowed in confusion. "But if they can do that, why don't they do it often?" I asked.

She smiled at me, "because heaven is a magical place, it's beautiful, why would we ever want to leave" she told me.

"Plus we can only be down here for a limited amount of time" she said.

"But how come I've stayed down here for so long? Don't I have a limited time as well?" I asked.

"Slow down hunny my time is running out and I can only answer so many questions at a time"

I nodded. "You have been down here for a while because, you aren't ready to leave yet, once you are, you can come up to heaven with us." She smiled.

"I've got to go now sweetie" she said as she slowly faded.

"I love you" I faintly heard before she disappeared entirely.
