It'd been another week, and still no movement from Beast. Spook had been checking CCTV footage around Reno and hadn't seen Beast or Stacy. Axle knew it'd only be a matter of time before the former skull member showed his face.Axle and some of the men were meeting with Kyle Hirsch on the outskirts of town. The skulls were going to make an offer on the old lumber yard. They walk around and look at the property.
"This place is huge," Tank said, admiring the view. "I agree; we could build much more than just the clubhouse," Ice echoed.
"Let's not get too excited." "Kyle still has to sell it to us." Axle reminded them. Priest started laughing. "And he might not since we wouldn't let him prospect."
"That was how many years ago," Tank pointed out. "Yeah, that was Menace's decision since Kyle wasn't 21 yet; those are the rules," Priest stated. "Well, let's hope he doesn't hold it against us, eh?" Axle said.
Just then, a maroon 1967 Ford Mustang GTA drives up. The car comes to a halt in front of the skulls. A tall, muscular-built, curly ginger-haired man with blue eye was stepping out of the driver's side.
"Axle, it's good to see you again," Greeted Kyle. The skulls were a little confused. The Kyle they remembered was a scrawny and awkwardly behaved 18-year-old kid with braces and greasy red hair.
"It's been a while, Kyle; you look different," Axle shook his hand. "It happens when you're sent off to military school," Kyle revealed. "Uncle Lloyd thought it would help me become a man." He elaborated.
"Did you ever serve?" Priest asked. Kyle sighed. "Not long, unfortunately, I got injured two years in." "Roadside bombing right outside of Kabul," He lifted his left pant leg, showing the prosthetic he was wearing.
Axle and Priest knew all too well the causalities of war. Neither experienced any physical trauma, but witnessing their fellow teammates get injured and dying caused emotional scars that nobody ever sees.
"I came home, went through years of physical therapy, and then started my own business." "I inherited a bit from Uncle Lloyd and got into real estate development," Kyle said, walking them through the property.
He halts his steps. "So, you want to buy the lumber yard, right?" Axle nods, confirming. "Indeed, we do." "How much?"
Kyle shakes his head, thinking there's no way the skulls can afford it. "$4.2 million." He admits. Tank lets out a whistle upon hearing the price. It's much higher than Axle imagined, but the advantage of having this property is something he is willing to pay for.
"$4.2 million," Axle repeated. Kyle nodded. "$2 million," Priest counter-offered.
Kyle stood there dumbfounded. That's a significant decrease. Even a rookie in real estate wouldn't make that kind of deal. However, Kyle wanted something worth him taking the financial loss.
The redhead mulled it over for a minute. "I'll agree to the $2 million on one condition," Kyle smirked.
"Here it comes," Ice whispered behind Axle. "What's your condition, Kyle?" Axle asked, knowing already what he was about to propose.
"Let me prospect for the skulls, and the lumber yard is yours for $2 million." Kyle offered. Axle looked to the others. "Well, this is a decision made by the entire charter, not just by me."
"I understand that." "You know where to find me when you've decided," Kyle said, reaching out to Axle's hand to shake. The redhead strolls back to his classic mustang and speeds off.
"What do you think?" Axle asked the others. "That's a great fucking deal - $2 million for all this," Ice sprawled out his arms to show the massive size of the property.
