6 months later[Seoul, South Korea]
"Mr. Nagasaki, I believe my offer is very generous," Victor smirked, pushing an ounce of H in front of the head of the Japanese Yakuza. The elder man gestured to one of his soldiers, then titled his head towards the white powdery substances to sample.
The young man dipped his index finger in the powder then rubbed it against his front teeth, then nodded to Mr. Nagasaki indicating the product was legit.
Kenzie was sandwiched between Victor Kim and his right-hand man, Yunho Jung. She infiltrated Victor's gang a year ago under the name Alessa Christakos, a Greek antiquities dealer who traded in blackmarket rarities. Kenzie used her access to shipping containers as a way to attract Victor in using her fake company to move his product around.
For this type of operation, the DEA had to partner with the CIA to tap into local assets in South Korea. One of those assets was a spy named Daniel Lee, who'd been tracking illegal arms dealing to North Korea. He was Kenzie's contact in the country, especially if something went wrong.
Mr. Nagasaki shifted his focus towards Kenzie. "I assume I'll have no problems with custom agents," He raised an eyebrow. She nodded her head confirming. "The products will be concealed inside four large Persian statues, labeled as national artifacts from Iran, customs will not check the containers."
Mr. Nagasaki grinned upon hearing that revelation. "Ms. Christakos is quite the asset," He smirked, grazing his tongue across his upper lip. "Indeed, she is," Victor agreed, giving Kenzie's thigh a light caress.
"If all the terms of our agreement are satisfactory, then let's sign," Right as Yunho was passing the contract to Mr. Nagasaki, a loud boom was heard causing the room to vibrate. Then several smoke bombs detonated inside the room causing blinding lights and heavy smoke to fill the space.
Chaos ensued as everyone scrambled from their seats, trying to make it back to their vehicles parked outside. Kenzie was running towards the exit, but lost sight of Victor and Yunho. She figured they were heading towards the cars, too. She didn't understand what happened. Right as she saw the exit doors, someone grabbed her from behind and put a hand over her mouth. Kenize gyrated her body violently trying to escape from the person's hold.
"Kenzie, it's me Daniel," He whispered in her ear. When she recognized his voice, she calmed her body. He rushed her out another door and ushered her into a black SUV that was waiting.
"Let's go!" He yelled to the driver as he shut the backseat door. "Daniel, what the fuck is going on?" Kenzie asked while trying to catch her breath. He held up his finger telling her to hold on while he made a phone call.
"Yeah, I got her. We're heading to the airport now." Daniel confirmed before hanging up.
"What is going on?! We were about to close that deal. We would've had both Victor Kim and Hiro Nagasaki," Kenzie asked. She worked tirelessly for a year undercover to secure this deal. The DEA had a chance to arrest Victor Kim, but also the leader of the Yakuza.
Daniel took a breath before answering her question. "There's been a leak. I have to get you out of the country." Kenzie furrowed her eyebrows. "What kind of leak?"
"Names...a list of federal agents and CIA operates currently undercover." Kenzie's jaw dropped in disbelief. "Your name was one of the 15 that was leaked. You're burned, Kenzie, the DEA is pulling you from the field." Daniel reported.
Kenzie stared outside the window as they approached a private jet waiting on the tarmac. She couldn't believe what Daniel told her. What does she do now? Where can she go?
