Pulling up in front of Beast's apartment, Axle had this sinking feeling in his gut. Seeing the look Blake was giving, he wasn't the only one."Bas, Ink, and The Unholy stay outside and keep watch," Axle ordered, making his way upstairs with the others close behind.
As Axle approached the front door, he noticed it was already ajar. He didn't see any damages to the side panel or the knob, clearly indicating nobody tried to break in. Right as he was about to push open the door further, a tight grip was felt on his shoulder.
He tilted his head slightly towards Priest. "What we find inside might confirm everything." "Once that wound is cut, it's going to be hard to stop the bleeding." Priest warned him.
"Our club's been bleeding since Menace died," Axle choked a bit on his words, "My girl is missing...my heart is already bleeding." Not knowing what he'd find on the other side of that door, Axle wasn't taking any chances. He removed his gun from his back. The others followed suit.
"Beast, you in here." He called out. Silence.
Tank and Spook walked towards the back bedrooms, looking through the closets and the bathrooms. Nothing. No sign of Beast.
"Axle, I got something!" Hawk yelled from a small room nestled on the other side of the kitchen. "Holy fuck." Ink mumbled in shock.
Axle couldn't believe what he was seeing. Neither of them could. Plastered on the right side of the wall were pictures of Charlie. Spook noticed a computer in the corner and immediately got to work trying to open any files that might be on there.
The knots twisting around inside Axle were overwhelming. His worse fear confirmed. One of his brothers betrayed him...betrayed the club.
"It looks like he was in a hurry and tried to wipe the computer," Spook began explaining, "But not everything got erased." He showed Axle and Priest was on the computer.
"That son of a bitch!" Axle screamed, picking up an end table and throwing it against the wall. He was reading a message between Beast and Venom that ordered the kidnapping of Charlie.
"He looked me dead in my face and lied...lied that he hadn't seen her the night she went missing." Axle gritted angrily. "I guess it's safe to say we know who killed Fagan O'Malley." Priest reminded them.
"Why would he do this?" Capone asked. They all shrugged their shoulders. None of them could understand why Beast would betray them like this.
"It's no secret, Beast wanted to be Prez when Menace died." Ink revealed to the stunned crowd. "There was no way he was being serious, right?" Capone wanted confirmation. Ink nodded his head.
"That was a pipe dream, Menace would never give the Prez position to Beast," Ice began, "Besides, Axle was VP, he was next in line."
Ink put his hand inside his pockets and leaned against the wall by the front door. "Beast didn't give a shit about who was next in line." "He didn't want Axle to be VP in the first place." "Beast has been a patched member longer than Axle, so he felt it was his rightful place to be Menace's VP."
"How the fuck do you know all this?" Axle asked.
Ink chuckled slightly recalling the moment Beast unknowingly confessed his true feelings about Axle. "Remember that security run we did for Sherriff Ford?"
Axle and the others nodded. "Yeah, I remember, it was you, Beast, Ice, and Bas."
"That's right...afterward, Beast and I went to Gypsy inside Atlantis Casino Resort." "Beast was hammered...wasted beyond measure." "I guess alcohol became his priest and he started confessing – no pun intended." Ink gave a sly smirk towards Priest.
