"Wait, wait, wait, wait. This...dumbass had a g—"
"It's gotta be a lie, a joke, or some shit! She's too good looking for a wreck like you, Mah."
"Shut up, you idiots, how could you say something' about girls when you've never had the experience. Just one piece of pussy and you think you know a girl? At least he's got it."
"I could still take her." Said Parker with a chortle and a mouth full of food.
"Shut up asshole." Said Lay annoyed.
"Y'know I'd never ever be able to replace ya." Parker wrapped an arm around Lay and attempted to kiss her cheek. She withdrew from him jokingly and tried her best to hide a smile from her face, but failed anyways.
"Aye, pass the syrup you dumbasses." Mah said aggressively ignoring everyone's comments.
We were all in the kitchen at the dining table. It probably wouldn't look like one to others, but it for sure felt like one once you'd gotten used to it.
It was a brown folding table with metal chairs sitting all around it. Waffle, chicken tenders, fruit, and beer sat atop of it.
"Can you hand me the chicken tenders, Lay." I said over the loud chatter.
"Here ya go." She threw me and smile.
We all sat here. Mah beside me; Lay and Parker across from us; and the other three guys I still didn't know, as if nothing had happened before.
"So, Zilah. That's your name?" I nodded yes. "Why you with a guy like, him? Have you heard the way his shit smells?" Asked one of the guys I'd not met before as he scrunched up his nose to imitate the smell.
Mah looked at my confusion and recognized the problem. He put his waffle down and rubbed his hands together.
"Oh, I forgot." He pointed towards the right side of the table. "That's Ease, don't mind his lazy ass." Ease had fair brown skin, blonde dreads, and wore a dark blue bandana around his neck and head. Mah moved his finger to the left of Ease. "That's Luke."
"Sup." Luke looked up from his chicken strip, made a quick nod of his head, and continued to his meal. He had warm light brown skin with dark brown curly hair that covered his eyes. He wore a black beater that revealed a few tattoos, but none could beat Parker's.
Mah lastly moved his finger to the opposite side of the table. He took a sip of beer before saying who this person was. "That's Bak. Parker's brother."
"She wouldn't be able to tell the difference with our looks. Ain't that right, Bak?" Parker sniggered at Bak's annoyed expression.
I'd thought the complete opposite. They were both buff, tall, had silky white skin. But you could completely tell them apart. For one, Bak didn't talk as fucking much as Parker.
"Yeah, don't mind that dumb fuck. I'm Bak. It's nice to see Kimahni have somebody decent around." He blew smoke from a joint as he said so, sounding like a father.
The way he said Mah's name reminded me of something. It reminded me of the voice that yelled his name that time I was on the phone with Mah. So this is who it was.
"Everybody here stays in this house." Said Mah as he ate with one hand and rested the other on the back of my chair. "Still staying?" This time as he looked at me his eyes were different. They'd gained back emotion from earlier.
"Of course." I took a sip of his beer. Mah grabbed the beer from my hand before I could take another.
Lay giggled excitedly as she heard me respond.
"What we gonna do about Brocan?" Asked Bak with a malevolent look on his face. Everyone's chatter quieted down. "I just got a new strap, wouldn't mind using it on someone." He formed a smirk.
"This normalization of violence..." giggled Lay once again. "it gets better every single time I come across it." I covered my mouth as a laugh tried to force it's way out. Parker looked at Lay in admiration as she said this.
"My evil lady." Said Parker as a smirk came across his face while he admired his lover.
"Hey, shut up. Especially you, Bak. We don't talk about this shit in front of the ladies anyway. You know this." Mah said with food in his mouth.
Everyone turned silent for a good five seconds, the topic was pushed aside, and the loud chatter started up again.
"So uh, what you wanna do today. We can't stay in this house all day anymore. I can tell you're feeling better." Mah turned towards me, snuck his arm around my and waist, and smiled that smile of his.
"I don't know. You know Crunity way better than me, as a wise person once said." I teased him for once. He opened his mouth and lifted his eyebrows jokingly as if he were offended.
"Well, being with you is just enough for me. But we can find somethin'." He looked me up and down with pleasure in his eyes. "Nice choice of fashion."
"I— "A buzz vibrated in the back of my pocket. I pulled it out to see what it was. It was my phone. "Hold on, I'll be right back." I went to the room to see who it could possibly be.
