All of us decided to make a huge SOS sign with all the objects lingering around on the roof. The helicopter blades I heard from before had left us already. We tried calling for it but our voices were drowned by the copter.

And so, we made a SOS sign, big and eye-catching from the bird's eye view. We jumped to where Joon-syeong was standing and admired our hardwork.

"It's a little crooked though," Hyo-ryung sighed.

I pat her back. "We did great. It was the best we could do,"

"Now what?" On-jo mumbled.

I clasped my hand excitedly. "Now, we wait."

"Why are you excited to wait?" Su-hyeok asked.

I shook my head, turning to him dismayed, "Sarcasm, Bare-su, sarcasm."

Waiting was always a huge bore. With a girl who can't sit still in one place and gets boredom easily, the task was difficult.

I zoned out to the school's field into a world of my own. I haven't shifted, but I've been trying for—I can't even remember. All I know is that the more I fail the more I slowly give up turning sadness into a whole breakdown.

As I stared out, I imagine the school being a fun building, with slides and playgrounds. I didn't care if it was highschool, with students 'too old to have kiddy fun'. Well, fuck that.

I replaced the field into a ball pit and the zombies into their old bodies. Ones where they were themselves, not cannibal zombies. And then I imagined JayJay.

He was 13, his height was around my elbow. I imagined him with my arm snaked around his shoulder and our parents behind us like we were trying to take a family photo.

It was true though, I was taking a family photo. In my head. A memory.

My illusions blurred when someone touched my shoulder. On-jo's hand caught mine and she scooted closer, enough to place her head on my shoulder.

We stood in comfortable silence on the roof's edge. "What if this was all a dream?" I suddenly spoke. "What if, we were drugged, being put to sleep and our minds were out in here as a test?"

On-jo slightly lift her head. "What do you mean?"

"I mean—what if this isn't real? All of this. What if it was an illusion? Our bodies are asleep in the real world but we're stuck in a dream."

"Y/n, that's insane!"

"On-jo, think about it! There's no way a zombie apocalypse is happening! This is too much for the real world. Zombies exist in movies."

"Didn't you made a bet with Cheong-san zombies were real??"

I lifted a brow. "I did?" I'm a forgetful person sometimes. My thoughts are random, as well. It was probably my adhd.

On-jo sighed, putting her head back on the crook of my neck. "Anyways, your theory is creative, but that one seems more like a movie plot than the zombie apocalypse."

"Fair enough,"
