"Hurry!" Cheong-san said once we reached the construction site. The workers were here, mutated, as they followed us.

"STOP!" Nam-ra ordered. She was gasping. Confusion stirred as we came to a halt.

"What? Why?" Dae-su looked around.

She gasped, turning to us. "Go upstairs. GO!"

We waste no time, climbing up the stairs to the second level.

"Shit!" I cursed. "Where do we go?"

The second floor had no good spots to hide. There were sand, plastic chairs, white bags, a shovel, and other stuff.

The group separated, trying to find a way.

"There's no way out. It's blocked." Dae-su said.

"There's nothing here, too." Wu-jin called.

I kept holding On-jo's hand when Nam-ra called us over. "This way!"

She uncovered a clear cover revealing an open way out the building. It was a little high to climb over.

"The bench." Wu-jin said.

We carried the bench and climbed over, making it outside where there was a wide stone-like ledge, allowing us to sit.

"Quiet." Nam-ra warned. "Don't say a word."

We silently nodded. I sit down and looked up to the sky. A few birds flew by and I suddenly envy them.

I watch as On-jo picked up a metal from the ledge and I look up to her.

She was shaking. Cheong-san gripped her hand and she struggled against him, fighting over the tool. Eventually, he won and threw it far from us.

On-jo stared at him before crouching and started to cry. Ha-ri was quick to muffle her sobs and throw an arm over her shoulder.

I scoot closer to them. I gave a small nod to Ha-ri who hesitated before removing her hand from On-jo's mouth, along with her arm.

I softly bring On-jo's head to my shoulder and hug her, as she wraps her arms around my waist. Cheong-san crouched in front of us, bringing us into his chest, rubbing On-jo's head.

We've always been there for each other. It's always been just the three of us. Childhood trio. Me, Cheong-san, and On-jo.

We had different personalities, but they balance one another, canceling the worst in us.

We know our limits and boundaries, stopping before we hurt each other.

On-jo was the glue, Cheong-san was the protector, and I was the booster.

Whenever we had fights, or me and Cheong-san weren't on good terms, On-jo would make sure we apologize. She'd bring us back together again.

And when we'd get hurt, or some guy was being a dick towards us, Cheong-san would care for us, and protect us with everything he has. He'd fight anyone who'd hurt us.
