She entered their house, her little siblings run towards her. She knelt down to embrace them
Amara the youngest was 6 years. She would jump up and down when she saw her eldeest sis Maryam.. You could see the joy in her eyes when she was given her present for the day.
Such an innocent soul she was.It was a norm that whenever Maryam stepped out of that door she must come back with a present for her 5 younger siblings....I mean she was working and earning that's all they knew...
Her stress? He depression? Her rough days?
No one knew and had no idea of what's hidden behind her smile
She would break most of the days, behind the closed door and this day wasn't going to be different. She got into her room, closed the door real quick, fell to her knees and silently gut-wrenching sobs tore through her chest
" I wish I was understood too" she said painfully
But after each breakdown she built herself up better than before. This was her, entirely new. Yet in a way, this is the version of her she was born to become.
Wiping off her tears "I need to do this for them,I'm determined" she said
And as each day passed the pain become a little less. Upon them the sunshine glew bright.
She had been the only source of positivity around everyone she met. Full of warmth and emotional comfort..................
"Hey!" She intervened
"Whom were you talking about?" My sister asked curiously
"A friend of mine?" I replied
"Wow,she's amazing " she said
Without holding back..I said too loudly
"Assertive, is the word that can describe her best"
.................
