You could see the pain in her eyes. No one could ever change a thing that has happened to her,but a shoulder to lean on and an ear ? Are the things she yearned for.
She was 15. Jeff,her cousin was 18. He was her best friend and everyone in her family loved him to bits. They would always go to school together and most of the days when coming from school he would make sure he brought her home first.
It was more like a routine but this day it was different,they had to pass by his house to pick something.
Out of nowhere he grabbed her waist without haste and pinned her to the ground.
"What's wrong" she yelped !
"You know what could happen if you choose to let anyone know about this don’t you?” he threatened
She didn't understand what he really meant but his threats kept bouncing in her head over and over again. A a flash of his lips widening into an evil smile as he touched her with his scrawny dirty hands…
"Please don't" she cried..
"Whether you cry or shout you know very well no one will come to your aid" he said so heartleslly
Aaaaaaaarghhh..the pain of him ripping off her skin was unbearable. She was numb and broken that her cousin Jeff turned to be an animal.
After he was done doing the dirty deed...he let go of, looked her up straight in the eyes cursing his threats
She went home feeling sick..her whole body was literally screaming out of pain
“Mommy are you ok?" Her momma asked
"Yeah" she said with a heartbreaking tone.
Fear clung to her heart. She didnt want to upset her mum.
How? How was she going to explain to her mum and everyone in the family that the "saint Jeff" took advantage of her?
She rushed into her room, remembering the scene and each second she did, it reminded her of how almost every good thing in her life stayed just for an instant...
So from that day, weeks after and upto now that she's 17 ,she's never forgotten that awful day...especially since he got away with everything.
But even though he took so much from her, she keeps in mind that's she's a survivor that just fell victim to a predator.
