I looked at the ladder leading toward the surface. I could hear my heart beating.
"Come on!" Junior shouted behind me. "Let's get this over with!"
I couldn't believe my parents had made me take him with me. But they said that since he had been to the surface before, he could help me figure out my way around Ninjago City.
"It's not my fault this is my first time going to the surface!" I shouted.
"Whateves." Junior mumbled.
I sighed and started climbing the ladder. I pushed up the lid and and peeked out. I squinted at the sunlight. Finally, I got my entire body out. I had done it. I had reached the surface. I smiled until I saw how crowded it was. I pushed myself through the crowd into an alleyway.
I stayed for a little while until Junior finally came into the alleyway.
"What took you so long?!" I shouted as I reached out and hugged him. "I thought I lost you!"
Junior shook me off and got back on the sidewalk. I had a feeling it was going to be a long day.
