I groaned and held my head. What just happened? The green serpent was right on top of me and groaning also.
"Sami! Are you OK?" Junior asked, helping me up.
"Ye-yeah, I think so." I held Junior's back as he got me to the table.
The green serpent looked at me with guilty eyes.
"I'm s-s-sorry." he stammered. "I didn't m-mean to hurt you."
I slowly stood up with wobbly legs and then sat back down. Then I tried again and this time I made to the serpentine. I held his shoulder.
"It's fine." I said. "You just startled me."
We learned that his name was Clancee and he was banished to another realm because he used to hang out with a gang of pirates. He was basically at the bottom of the ladder all the time and didn't sound like he was very happy. When he was done telling his story, Pythor had a suggestion.
"Say, why don't you stay with me and A for a little while?" he asked. "We have plenty of food and water for all three of us. And we could use the company."
Both A and Clancee agreed with this and me, Junior and Mindroid went home. We didn't know it then, but we saved a life that day.
