After we finally got him up the tree, we bandaged his wounds and let him rest on the bed. I let my hand slowly move across his hair. It was surprisingly soft. I almost didn't realize I was smiling until the others started giggling.
"What?" I asked, a bit annoyed.
"Oh, nothing." was all they said.
When me and Junior got home,(Mindroid stayed to keep watch over the man)we quickly fell asleep.
When we got to the treehouse the next morning, the man was already awake and looked at me with stars in his eyes. I blushed a bit before sitting down.
"Sami, Acronix. Acronix, Sami." Pythor said.
"You can call me Nix if you wanna." he said. "I know the original's a bit of a tongue-twister."
"No, I don't think it's bad at all." I said. "But I'll call you Nix if you want me too."
"Aw, you guys are adorbs!" Clancee commented.
We both glared at him and he stayed quiet for the rest of our visit.
Me and Nix talked for the rest of the day. It turned out we had a lot in common. We were both pretty smart, we both had a seafood allergy and it turned out we were both into coding.
For the first time in my life that night, I was so lovestruck I couldn't go to sleep.
