-Lauren's POV-

We pulled away from our kiss and just sat there.

"I love you. You know that right?" Niall blurted out.

"I love you too Nialler, but I got to go."

"No!!"

"Yes. I don't want to leave either, but I have to."

"Right. Your mom wants to spend more 'quality time' together."

"Yeah." Igot up, and gathered my stuff.

"Lo?"

"Yeah?"

"Will you come with me to my audition?"

I pretended to think about this for a minute. "No. I've got stuff to do. I'm a busy, busy girl."

He frowned, and I laughed. "Of course I will, Ni."

"Yay!" he hugged me and walked me to my car.

"I'll see you tomorrow babe."

I waved and drove off.

The next morning, I woke up, got showered, and dressed into this http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=67599618 . I was putting on my shirt when I stopped to look at my stomach in the mirror. "Getting fat eh Lauren?" I said aloud to myself.

"Don't you EVER call yourself fat. You're beautiful."

I turned around stunned to see Niall standing in my doorway.

"Seriously Niall, you have got to stop sneaking up on me like that."

He snickered. "Sorry babe."

I looked in the mirror feeling unsatisfied with how I looked. Niall's arms snaked around my waist. "You're beautiful Lo. Never forget it."

I sighed as he tilted my chin up to meet his lips.

"Let's go." He said. We drove off to school.

When we got to school, Phoebe and her new boyfriend Chad were the first two to bother us. Niall looped his fingers through mine.

"So we heard you're trying out for X Factor Niall." alleged Chad.

"Yeah, what makes you think you have the X Factor?" joined Phoebe.

I didn't understand why she was bothering Niall. I knew for a fact she'd heard him sing before. If this is her way of trying to 'fit in' and 'be cool' it wasn't really working.

"Oh dude, you're trying out for X Factor?" said one of Chad's friends who was walking by. "Why bother?"

Soon enough there was a whole chorus of of "Oh my gosh, you're trying out? Why?" and "You're setting yourself up for failure." Niall looked hurt, but just kept taking in what they were saying. He just stood there. I wasn't going to stand for this. No siree. I began mouthing back, and defending him.

"As soon as they see your teeth, they'll think twice about letting you in!" shouted one boy from the crowd. I looked over to see that Raymond, a boy from our 2nd period class, was giving high fives and fist bumps as a result of his comment. I was now furious. Raymond was one of those people who would say anything for attention and acceptance. He sure as hell had my attention now.

I began walking towards him, but Niall pulled me back. "Lauen...don't."

I shook his grip off of my shoulder and continued walking.

"At least he has the balls to try out, and I guarantee he'll make it." I said. I was now face to face with him, breathing hard.

"Oh... he has balls?" he retorted.

It was all I could do not to punch him right then and there.

"Yes, he does. But I'm pretty sure you don't."

Everyone said their shares of 'Ohhhhs'.

He turned bright red, and walked away. What an asshole.

I began walking back to Niall, only to see that he was walking away.

"Where are you going?" I asked, trying to catch up to him.

He turned around. "As far away from you as I can get."

"What?! What did I do?"

He just shook his head and walked away.

So there I was, standing in the hallway all alone.
