Rumor Has It (HIATUS)

Chapter 25

-Niall's POV-

I woke up this morning and made sure that everything was PERFECT for Lauren and I's date. It was Wednesday, and Thanksgiving break started today. Wow. After Thanksgiving, I'll be gone...

I pushed that thought to the back of my head and just focused on today. I took a quick shower, and put on some black Nike sweatpants, and a gray sweater that said 'Just Do It'. I guess I'll wear all Nike today, I thought. I then threw on some tennis shoes. As you can tell, Lauren and I don't really dress to impress. I grabbed my keys and went to pick her up.

I got to her house in 10 minutes. I knocked on the door and waited.

"Hey!" she said greeting me, with a huge smile on her face.

"Hey beautiful." I replied, making her blush.

"You don't have to lie, Niall." She said, locking her door.

"Just because you're bumming today, doesn't mean you're any less beautiful than you usually are.

"We're always bumming."

"Exactly. You're always beautiful." I argued, opening the car door for her, and walking over to my side to get in.

"You're always adorable, and cute, and just plain handsome."

"Oh stop it." I said, acting like the girls do which caused us to start dying of laughter.

It was12:45now. "Where are we going?" she asked.

"You'll see."

She frowned. "I don't like surprises."

"Too bad." I said, smirking. I turned on the radio, and we sang along, and danced to every song that came on the radio.

Around1:15, we pulled into the parking of Blue Planet Aquarium.

"NO WAY!" exclaimed Lauren.

I laughed. She looked like a little 5 year old the way she was jumping around in her seat.

"YES WAY!" I said, mimicking her.

Lauren loved sea animals, and just anything that had to do with water. She was fascinated by sea life and just everything about her. That was one of the things I loved about her. She wasn't like most girls who were just into lip gloss, cheerleading, and typical girl stuff like that. Although, she did have a great love for Ed Sheeran, and Demi Lovato and just fan-girls whenever she sees anything about them.

I admit, I have a celebrity crush on Demi, but it's nothing major. Pft.

"Well what are we waiting for!? Let's go!" she said, jumping out of the car before I even had a chance to open my door. She was running towards the entrance, and then realized that I was still trailing far behind her.

"Come on slow-poke!"

"I'm almost there Speedy Gonzalez!"

We laughed, and stood in the line where we were supposed to pay our admission fee.

When it was our turn, I pulled out my wallet to pay, but she insisted on paying half. Knowing Lauren, I just let her.

We strolled through the aquarium; our fingers intertwined which just made this whole time even better.

I admired how she could just name every sea creature we strolled by, and tell me all about it. She had my full attention when she was talking. I found myself genuinely interested and asking questions, which she would answer with no hesitation. I loved every minute of it.

We kept walking until we came across a tank with only one clownfish in it.

"Well...I guess we found Nemo." I said, pulling her closer to me.

She giggled. "Well now we just have to find Marlin because I think we lost him too."

"How are we going to do that?" I asked, seeing the wheels turning in her head.

"Well, I guess we'll just have to ask around." She said smirking.

Five minutes later, we were going up to random people saying: "We found your son, Nemo!!" while dying of laughter.

A lot of people laughed. Most called us drunks. We didn't care though; we just kept on having fun.

Eventually, we were kicked out for being a disturbance to the other people.

When we got back in the car, we were still laughing. It was now3:00.

"What now?" she asked.

"You'll see." I said, smirking.
