Leahs pov

We had come up with an amazing plan to welcome Dustin back. El was gonna use her powers to make one of his robots move, and we created a big sign, now all we had to do was wait.

"Go!" We whispered once he sat in his room for a minute.

"Now!" Mike whispers, signalling her to stop moving the robots, and we all move behind him, Lucas holding the sign, and having a kazoo in his mouth.

Max holds up her fingers. '3, 2, 1' she mouths.

We all blow our kazoos and Dustin screams, and sprays Lucas is the face with hairspray, making them both scream. Me and Lucas go into the kitchen and I help him wash his eyes out.

Everyone starts to leave. "Whats going on?" I ask.

"Going to talk to Dustins girlfriend" Will says with a smile.

"Girlfriend?" Me and lucas say, lucas taking his head out of the sink. We grab our stuff and run after them.

We walk into this field and up a hill. "Aren't we high enough?" Lucas asks.

"Cerebro works best at 100 meters" Dustin answers.

"You know, I think people in Utah have telephones" Max says.

"Yeah, but Suzies Mormon" Dustin replies.

"Oh shit. She doesn't have electricity?" Lucas asks.

"Thats the Amish" I correct him.

"What are Mormons?" Will asks.

"Super religious white people. They have electricity and cars and stuff, but since I'm not Mormon her parents would never approve. Its all a bit,.. Shakespearean" Dustin says.

"Dustin, if this is isnt the best conversation ever, and we walked all the way up here for nothing, I'm kicking you" I threaten him. Its hot as shit out here.

"Hey guys!" Mike calls to us, making us turn around to look at him and El. "This is fun and all, but uh..." mike says while tapping his watch.

"I have to go home" El says.

"We're almost there" Dustin argues.

"Sorry man. Curfew" Mike apologizes and Turns around.

"Curfew at 4?" Dustin questions.

"Their lying" Lucas states.

"So they can suck eachothers faces off" I add.

"Its bullshit. I just got home. Well, their loss right? Onwards and upwards! Suzie awaits!" Dustin says cheerfully, getting a groan from us in return.

"Will? You coming?" I ask as I see him stand, looking at El and Mike. I walk over to him.

"They keep ditching us" Will says sadly.

"They'll get over each other eventually" I say, trying to comfort him.

"Can I tell you something? You cannot tell anybody. You're the only person I trust to know" Will whispers while looking at the others, who are ahead of us.

"Of course! You know I'll keep my mouth shut" I say.

"I um.... like..... Mike" he says really quietly.

I take a step closer. "Like,... like like?" I whisper, getting a nod from him. I bear hug him, which startles him but he soon hugs me back.

"Did you have any idea that was what I was gonna say?" He whispers into my shoulder.

"I've had my suspicions, but I just thought I was overreacting" I whisper back.

"Do you think that he's noticed?" Will asks with a bit of panic in his voice, letting go of the hug.

"No. He probably sees it as you're his best friend" I whisper back.

"Leah! Will! You coming?" Dustin asks.

"Yeah!" We say in unision and start running up the hill.

We finally made it to the to top.

"We made it!" Dustin says proudly.

"After 5 hours!" Max whines.

"Why couldn't we just play d&d?" Will asks.

"I'm so thirsty" Lucas says while he grabs the canteen and chugs it, getting a glare from me.

"Did you seriously just drink the rest of our water?" I ask annoyedly.

He spits what he hasnt swallowed back into the canteen and hands it to me with a weird smile.

I shake my head and walk away and we get to setting up Cerebro.

"Pretty impressive right?" Dustin asks as it stands up.

We all give him some 'meh' answers.

"Now, we get to talk to my love" Dustin says while reaching for the walkie talkie.

"Suzie, this is Dustin. Do you copy? Over" he says as we all crowd around him. Silence.

"One sec. Shes probably.. shes still there" he stammers.

He keeps repeating "this dustin. Do you copy? Over"

We sit there for a good 15 minutes and he continuously gives us reasons why she might not be answering right now, and just to say, we were getting annoyed.

We stay their until its dark out. Im laying on Lucas's chest and about to pass out when theirs some foriegn language heard.

"What the hell is that?" I ask, sitting up.

"Russians" Dustin answers.
