it was Later that name night, Carl and Daisy had been sleeping peacefully until they were woken up by loud bangs coming from the front of the barn
the two opened their eyes to see everyone getting up to walk to the front of the barn, they followed to see everyone barricading the doors aside from Faith who was holding Judith
Carl and daisy quickly helped them hold the door shut, they then realized that there was a herd of walkers trying to get inside
everything was spinning in Daisys eyes, the sound of thunder mixed with Judiths screams were all they could hear
they did their best to hold the door shut, fear bloomed inside Daisy all she could think of was the words but suddenly she was on the ground waking up to light shining through the cracks in the barn
everyone was near each other and near the barns front doors, she looked down to see that she had been using carl as a pillow all night
she sat up and saw Maggie and Daryl talking in the back of the barn, Maggie had the music box carl had given her
she walked over to them "you mind if I intrude on your little grief session?" she asked jokingly seeing as they were talking about Beth
the two looked up at her "get down here girl" Maggie said motioning to the spot next to her
Daisy sat down were she was told, Maggie slung an arm around her and she put her head on the brunettes shoulder
Maggie gave the blonde a kiss on her head before she went over to a sleeping glenn, Daisy took that as her opportunity to take Maggies spot beside Daryl
"daryl" she said smiling at him
he nodded to her in acknowledgment "rugrat" he said using his nickname he had given her a long time ago
"you gonna actually sleep now?" she asked, she was always worried about him because he was a lot like her....too stubborn for his own good
he rolled his eyes "yeah, yeah"
they shared a smile when Daisy got up from her seat to go back to carl who was feeling around for her at this point
he went to reach beside him but was stopped by Daisy grabbing his hand, the now half awake boy slowly opened his eyes "where'd you go?" he mumbled
Daisy just shook her head "nowhere" she said sitting down next to him with Judith crawling into her lap, Daisy held onto her "go back to sleep" she told carl rubbing his hand but he sat up "no it's to late for that now" he told her as he started playing with her hand
he moved closer to her so he could reach Judith better, Daisy didn't know what had come over her but she was really emotional in that moment
I mean it was most likely just because she was on her period but still...
