"Everyone has a beginning, dear.. It's just some people don't remember, even if they wish they did."

I woke up to the sound of a deafening screech. My eyes fluttered open, and I immediantly had a harsh movement when I threw up the water that gagged in my throat.

I felt a slight feeling of motion entertaining my body. Out of nervousness I quickly brought my head up, banging it on a piece of carriage. "Shit!" I yelled.

I so only remembered that I couldn't remember anything. My family, my favorite band, my lover. Nothing. I, the 14 year old girl tried my best to remember something and gradually, it came to my mind.

Y/N.

"My name is Y/N," I mumbled. The taste of bitterness, was left on my tongue. I looked in the elevator I was in and all the scared feeling came rushing back like the ocean when you're at the beach. The feeling pained me to think about. Everything pained me. Not remembering anything. Not being somewhere safe. Knowing where I was going. It was all a blur and it pained me to think about.

Eventually, the elevator came to a stop. I looked around for somewhere to hide. I found a pile of cartage and hid inside of them. Well, until I bumped a bucket making it all fall. "Shit," I mumbled.

I heard a metallic screach echo through the elevator and looked up. It was opening! The elevator. I sat back in the furthest corner into the room, hoping that I wasn't able to be seen.

Once it was fully open, I saw a group of all boys, only about 23 of them.

"Oh my goodness!"

"It's a girl!"

"Is she hot!?"

"If she's hot I call dibs!"

"She isn't a prize to be won!!"

I could see a dirty blonde haired boy. I grabbed the closest object to me. A knife. I grabbed it with my right hand and pointed it as if I was going to throw it. "What are you doing!? Stay away from me!" I instructed.

"Hey, it's okay," he calmed. He talked in a British accent. One that people would call calming. "I won't hurt you. None of us will," he said.

"Now, just give me the knife," he said. "Not until I have answers. How come I can't remember anything?! What's wrong with me?!"

"We all go through that. It's OK. Now, if you can remember, what's your name?" He asked. "My name... Is Y/N," I said, but it was more to remind me what my name was.

"OK.. Y/N, if you give me the knife, maybe we can answer those questions, mate," he said.

I slowly gave him the knife. "Okay, now give me your hand and let's get you out of here," he said. He reached his hand out and I grabbed. He pulled my up and she wobbled. "It's okay, just balance with your feet," he said. I could feel his hand on my back, which helped me relax.

I quickly got the hang of walking again. "I'm gonna take her to Alby," the blonde boy said.

"Who's Alby? Who're you?" I asked. "My name is Newt. Alby in charge of this place. We call it the Glade. But outside of here.." Newt stopped and looked into my eyes. "Never mind, we'll tell you tomorrow."

We walked towards Alby, Newt showing me the way. "Alby, we got a new arrival," Newt said. "A girl," Newt added. This supposed Alby was a boy with a darker tone.

"Wait, a girl?"

Newt nodded. "Her name is Y/N."

"Hey Y/N. My name is Alby, but I think you already knew that. Tomorrow we can go on a tour if you'd like," he said. "Please," she said. "Now, Newt, can you show her where to sleep," Alby asked. "OK."

Newt showed me to a room. And unlike the boys, it only had one room. "Alby, Gally and I made this just in case we had a female greenbean hop in," Newt said. "Then, once you're here awhile, we can switch you to where the boys sleep."

"Not too shabby," I chuckled.

"Annnnd," Newt said, "every month we get a new greenie, or the night after, we have a bonfire, with the greenie as guest of honor," Newt said.

"So.. What you're saying is go to the bonfire tonight?" I asked.

"Yeah," he said. "Okay, got it."

"It's right over-"

"Don't worry, I'll just follow the light. See you, Newt," I said, shutting my door.

Newt bit his lip. He felt as if she had a hook in him. He walked off, and he knew that he would fall in love with her.

Later on, after the bonfire started, I was invited over by Newt, who wanted to talk to me.

I walked over and sat with him on top of a log. "How was your first day, Greenie?" He asked. "My name isn't Greenie," I said. "I have a name."

"Right," he reassured himself. "How was your first day then," he asked. "Boring," I said.

"Then let's cheer it up a bit," he said, passing me a drink. "What is it?" I asked. "Drink it," he told me. I gave him a 'are you fricking serious' look. "Just drink it," he told me.

I quickly took a swig of the drink and almost spit it back out. I forced it down my throat. "What the shuck is this stuff?!"

"I don't even know. It's Gally's recipe," he said. "Newt...." I said and he shrugged. I gave him a shove. He laughed and I couldn't help but laugh too. He placed his arm around my shoulders. I smiled and loiked back at the maze Alby had told me about. Well, more like slipped out.
