As we ran through the maze, all the way to Section 7, I could feel the pressure bombarding me and Thomas. They trusted us. I looked behind me, everyone huffing and puffing, including Chuck, due to his chubbyness, except me, Thomas and Minho.

"Okay, we're almost there!" I yelled.

I ran through the blades that had tried to kill me and Thomas the day before. We finally made it to the corner. I peeked over the crevice to see what was past, and there was something. A Griever.

"Oh, shucking hell," I whispered to myself, Thomas by my side. "What?" Chuck asked. "Is there a Griever?"

"Yeah," Thomas mumbled. "Shit," Teresa mumbled. "Shuck," Minho said. "You take this, Chuck" he said, passing him the key. "Stay right behind it."

I picked up my chin. "It's OK, just stick with me," Teresa said. Thomas grabbed Chuck's shoulder.

"Okay Gladers. Here's the plan," I began. "Once we're through, it'll activate and the door will open. We stay close, we stick shucking together. We can get through this. We WILL get through this. We get out now," I said, looking at Newt, who had only confidence in his eye. No fear, just confidence. "Or we die trying," I continued.

"Ready?" I asked, then I grabbed my bow and focused on placing the arrow and cocking it in. "Okay.." I mumbled. I looked to Thomas.

"Let's go!!" We both yelled. Everyone let out fearsome battle cries as we ran towards the Griever. Our speed was matched to it's own, making it easier to go towards us. But we were ready.

The ones with wooden spears, which matched about everyone, tried pushing it off, but for me, I stuck with Chuck, due to him only having the key.

It grabbed a boy named Phillip and tossed him off the cliff that surrounded both sides, making him cowardly fall to his very own bloody death. I could as his screamed echoed and I could hear a faint *plop as he hit whatever was down there.

The Griever tried stabbing right on top of me but I moved out of the way and while its' tail was stuck, I kicked it which hit the key that was held in Chuck's hand that, nonsurprisingly, was camoflauged with the tail.

"Chuck! Watch the edge!" I called out.

He slid after the key and almost narrowly missed it, but he grabbed it, but was teetering over the edge. "Oh no," he said, looking straight down. I ran over to him, trying to pick him up and in the process, I looked down as a Griever tried climbing up the wall. "Gottcha Chuck!" Teresa yelled, as she grabbed onto my waist, helping me pull him up.

As all the other boys were working on the first Griever, they eventually sent it over the edge. I let out a sigh of relief but then remembered more were coming. Two more chased Teresa, Chuck and I.

We ran towards the door and it opened. "One door down, unknown amount to go," I mumbled. The boys must've began struggling, cause I could hear yells of agony and war cries. "Teresa, go! I'm gonna go help them. Give me your machete!" I yelled at her and she passed it to me.

I ran to the Griever Minho, Thomas, Frypan and Clint were fighting and began fighting it. The same Griever grabbed a Glader and sent him over the edge, making him fall over the ledge.

..2 deaths in 2 minutes..

"It won't open," Teresa yelled then spoke once again, "Thomas, there's a code! 8 numbers!"

8 numbers. 8 sections of the maze. "It's the sections of the maze! Okay, Teresa, listen carefully:" I yelled.
